Idk about that. The call was obviously awful and shouldn’t have been called but our defense was getting dog walked the entire game. Good defenses bounce back from that and we could hardly even force a 3rd down
I agree. NOBODY is talking about the 3 TNF members, Fitz, Whitworth, Sherman coming on the pre game broadcast and saying “the rams season changes tonight” why would you make that statement against one of the best defenses in the league? Like what??

With Kyren and Puka both healthy, that Rams offensive is probably top 5 in the NFL. They are better then there record. Also Stafford still has ice in his veins.

@@monkeybuisness5275 I’m not sure if that is accurate, but this year the Vikings are 4th in false starts and 3rd in delay of game. 6th overall in total penalties. Not good. Previous two years have been much better, except for delay of game. The Vikings were 1st in delay of game penalties in 2023, and 2022, with 11 and 10 respectively. So, you may not be far off.
This game showed the Vikings age on Defense, LACk of interior pressure from the DT's and that the biggest problem with this team is still Bradbury and Ed on the o line
I think this game was terrible from a whole team aspect. Our offense went away from Jefferson once again in the 2nd half, defense could not tackle nor generate any pressure. This has me concerned even on a short week
Roster construction prioritizing boundary players instead of the trenches had led to what we see on the field. Flores doesn’t have to dial up blitzes which leaves his ancient DB’s on an island if he had better pass rushing D-lineman.

The defense exposed the anemic offense, the defense scoring has kept them in games they would have lost and when the defense sucks the offense can't carry the team

I agree that they failed to apply pressure but keep in mind, Stafford had a bunch of 2 step quick throws that we didn't have a chance to get close to him. I feel they'll win vs Colts but as Vikings fans, we'll be wringing our hands again.

I agree with Phil! Sean is a stud coach and he beat us, but KOC will get us back on track! Yeah the refs screwed us on several plays, but our gameplan failed after the first 2 amazing drives! JJ needed more targets and we did shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties… they will clean it up! Hock and Cash will help and hopefully CD is ok… we do need a DT in a trade and perhaps a CB

That drive where we stopped them on 2 3rd downs but their drive continued because of penalties was the beginning of the end I’m a seasoned Vikings fan I seen this before so i know how to prepare myself for the L so I am at peace. Yeah. It makes no sense that Pace was making an impact right away as an UDFA and our first rounders can’t get on the field. It’s undeniably now that Ryan Grigson is doing our drafting and scouting, whiffing on defense picks just like he did in Indy. No doubt about it that Kwesi is just the analytics rubber stamper puppet for Grigson and Grigson is running our front office. This next draft is the make or break draft for Grigson and Kwesi. Time to cut them out and get a seasoned GM if the next class busts.
Cine was also a massive debacle that was supposed to be Harry’s replacement when he retires. After Harry pulls the pin, this defense is going to regress even more. We need at least 2 home run drafts the next couple years to fix all these holes coming up fast. We can’t afford another swing and a miss draft

Verse is playing right away and making an impact because he’s just better. Plus they traded a 2025 3rd and 4th rounder to move up and get him, makes no sense to sit a defensive impact player. It’s the Cine debacle all over again.
I agree with this to an extent. It obvious Flo trust Greenard and AVG and those two are our best edge rushers. But I also think that is Dallas's best skill set right now too. It's hard for Flo to let him get after the QB in close games on passing down cause we have NOBODY else who can win a one on one battle right now. Flo knows ever snap matters and to take your best two rushers and ask them to sit or do something other then rushing the QB on obvious passing downs is not going to happen.
last year the Vikings defense was exposed in the later games and this year it has been exposed earlier. more than 28 points 3 of the last 4 games. and everyone thinks KOC is such a great coach, what has he done to show his greatness? oh yeah, NOTHING
not a vikings fan but the ending to that game sucked. obviously that missed call wasn't THE reason minnesota lost, but they should have at least had the opportunity to go down and tie it up. it was way too good of a game to end like that

Every time I listen all I hear is how the Vikings are gonna rattle off 4-5 straight wins & it NEVER happens. Refs called every incomplete pass the Rams had 10+ yards down the field and caught every mishap of the Vikings oline but missed a huge face mask in the end zone. Not suggesting it's the reason they lost but it's unacceptable, refs should be fined for missing a penalty that badly
The Vikings "D" wasn't that great last night. Vikings: 17 first downs, Rams: 27. Vikings: 276 total yards, Rams: 386 yards. I think the Rams game last night showed the Vikings are a much improves ball club but not a team that is gonna go far in the Playoffs. Same type of team as the Vikings were under The Kirkster. I don't think the Vikings are a Super Bowl contender this year. Never have.
Phil is being overly positive, which means he's really freaking out inside that the NFL has caught onto Flores defense and with no pressure we're no better than a couple years ago.
I heard multiple times on this show how beat up the rams oline was beat up. On the broadcast I heard the have undrafted guys starting on that line. Kwesi should be fired if he’s drafting oline that can’t protect. And that also shows our scouts don’t know what they’re looking at when it comes to oline play. That or our dline is just trash. And same thing applies to the dline.
I am sorry but a really good team doesn't lose that game last night. So many mental errors cost us that game and really good teams don't make those errors. Also, we can only win on blitzing for so long and team can adjust to that by just walling up and keeping there gaps. We need guys to start winning the one on one battle. Kewsi needs help in the draft room badly. Turner is starting to look like another 1st rnd miss. If Flo doesn't trust him that should tell us a lot. Plus when he gets on the field he gets exposed or called for a penalties. Like I said above we need someone to beat a one on one battle I understand Greenard and AVG are our best two edge rushers but we need to put Turner in spots where he can succeed and build confidence. Let him pin his ears back and get some reps attacking the QB from the edge. Addison has been absent for most of the games and then on top of that makes mental mistakes. We are going to see the worst part of Darnold soon with the oline now in shambles. It was bad enough having to watch Bradbury and Ingram but now we lose the best LT in the game.

I disagree, I don’t think the rams are a really good team. Sure they got Kupp and puka back but their defense is not good and their O line is bottom of the league. This is a concerning loss
No pass rush, pre-snap penalties, and the running game is not very efficient, only 64 yards on 22 carries, too much dependence on Jones to do 100% of the running isn't going to work for 10 more games.
Yeah and the rams O line is not good, and we didn’t even sniff Stafford. Our tackling was so atrocious, and the rams defense is not good either and our offense struggled a lot trying to move the ball in the 2nd half and only gained like 85 yards

I’ve seen this script so many seasons. The Vikes will likely tally a few W’s up to pad their record against truly lesser teams but the wins will be narrow and the optics will be dubious. When they hit Chicago, they will be beat down. Despite this 5-0 fools gold, I think circling back to a 8-9 / 9-8 record predicted at the seasons start will ring true.
Losing to the lions is forgivable. Losing to the 2-4 Rams with the performance Thursday night is not. They made negative progress week over week since the Lions exposed their defense.
I have to say something that nobody else has on vent line. Why are we not blaming KOC for his lack of situational awareness and play calling. Back to back drives in the red zone 3rd and then 4th quarter. Run, run, 3rd down pass. Took 8 points off the board by settling for field goals. To be clear, I’m not saying go for it on 4th down both series but what I am saying is we didn’t need to be in a 3rd down period. It’s his conservative ass play calling and he is not the guru play caller we crown him to be. Go watch any game this year and you will find he is predictable. This dates back to the bengals game of last year! The awareness side of it, your defense cannot stop this Rams defense all night, you have to have the mindset when you get in the “deep red”, not to settle for the field goal. You’re going to be in a shootout and 3 points, twice is not going to do it. I would like to see a little more Dan Campbell out of KOC.
