Great video, thanks! And well composed shots. 👍 What makes this camera stand out from all the others, apart from its dedicated, large panoramic viewfinder, is the beautiful and appropriate 24mm lens.
Thanks. Yeah, it's amazing, if they had only added a few more features, manual controls, it would probably be one of the best point and shoots available
This might be a dumb question but I'm more of a print than scan guy, how do you think that would be with this camera? Never played around with panoramic before. Cheers
No such thing as a dumb question. As in printing in a darkroom? Your main issue would be getting a neg holder for your particular enlarger, not even sure if they ever made them. You could do contact prints but they would be kinda small I'm not very up with the ins and outs of darkroom printing though, been decades since I've used one.
@@thefilmlaundry Me neither! Haven't been in a darkroom since high school in the 90s lol, kinda miss it. I was wondering if/how prints would work via regular old drop off commercial develop/ print shop.
Same here 🤣 Hmmm, not sure, most print shops are digital now, don't know of any that still so old school printing to photo paper. If you could find a company that does 4x5 and 8x10 printing, I think they'd be able to handle them but the cost would be mighty high for such a custom job. Hmmmmm, maybe that's a new project for me, building an enlarger mount for 617 🤦🏻♂️
@@thefilmlaundry I'm in LA and there are actually a fair number of places left to get prints, I do it pretty often. They are starting to slowly disappear though, sadly. I feel like if I dropped off this roll of film it might be a head scratcher for them though, that's my concern. Or maybe it would be an interesting experiment, who knows! Thanks for your replies, appreciate your perspective and info.
