Very well done! Many don’t realize that the banjo was a standard jazz accompaniment from the beginning. It sounded loud & percussive, with a drum head resonator, so it contrasted well with other instruments & could cut through the sound of a big band. It wasn’t until invention of the electric guitar that the banjo became marginalized. Thanks for maintaining the traditional roots of the music!
Bravo, Caroline, quel talent !
alangraham8926, Yes, wonderful music! But I was also tricked at first, I believe it's Caroline only, who's talented enough to play separate two instruments. Very cool!
I've been listening to Minor Swing for decades. As you know perhaps, Reinhardt's left hand was disfigured in a fire, hence his playing style. Caroline takes that in her stride and produces this brilliant, multi-instrument tribute....what we say in St.Ives, a proper job!
So sorry for all the pain he suffered, but my God, what a gift to music! Imagine the agony and endless work of building himself back up and altering his technique to adapt to his new circumstance! It is inspiring to see someone turn a setback into a gift for the world. Rest in peace, Django, wherever you are. I hope you are playing your masterpieces for the angels.
Excellent, Caroline Aubert. I've much liked Django's and Stephane Grappeli's original. I'm so glad I heard Stephane Grappeli (great into his 80's) perform in Seattle with Jean Luc Ponty, 1980. Thankyou. I look forward to more of your exquisite performances.
Brilliant! Amazing talent, well done. I wish I had just 1% of this ladys musical abilities, I'm slightly jealous and big time envious tbh, but it is great that such people are about. One of the best YT videos that I have seen in a while, it deserves a lot more views.
I can almost smell the beer and cigarettes while listening to this. And the hot summer evening's always in the backgrounds of those old movies and TV back in the day. Makes me want to watch my Danger Man! DVDs.😊🙏

You got my attention with the banjo, adding the clarinet brought it to a new level altogether, but the masterful playing by the lovely lady made it a masterpiece!! Bravo! New subscriber!
