I didn’t have any side effects, nor did I lose any hair that was gained when I stopped! Perhaps because I take hair vitamins too…not sure!

I think whether or not you lose hair once you stop using minoxidil with depend on the cause of the hair loss, such as scarring Alopecia or female hair baldness but in this lady's case I think her hair was damaged by the combination of the perm and the hair dye so, in my opinion, when that was stopped the hair would have grown back anyway. That's why she didn't lose her regrowth because you're right, once you stop minoxidil depending on the type of hair loss you have it will go back to where it would have been had you never started using the minoxidil which could very well be worse than it was when you started

@@sable7114 what types of hair loss do you think will continue after stopping minoxidil. I have a receding/thinning hair line in the corners of my forehead from tension and incorrect wig removal I'm 24

@@bleurose1502 I think yours may grow back as long as you didn't damage your follicles using the Whigs or wearing tight hairstyles. Minoxidil will not produce growth for some types of hair loss such as in my case, scarring Alopecia. However, I also have some inflammation and once the information is cleared, then I make it regrowth there. Anything where the follicles might be dead or its genetic hair loss, if minoxidil helps at all you have to use it for life because once you stop you will lose the hair you've gained all the way back to where you would have been had you never started using minoxidil. I don't know if that helps or not. I'm using a corticosteroid oil for the inflamed portions of my scalp but I'm having trouble eliminating inflammatory foods from my diet like sugar and there is so much hidden sugar and other Foods. Now I'm not certain if I will see anything at all in the scarred area but I do see some hair growth. My dermatologist said I could also use my rosemary oil concoction as well since studies to say that it works like minoxidil with fewer side effects. If you have not tried minoxidil, I didn't want to, do know that you will first shed hairs which might make you think that you're losing more hair and you are but it's only the hairs that you would have said to begin with and then in three months or so you may notice growth. You may need to just do frequent massages and take a collagen powder or something like that.

@@xdeeshaax 🤔 I can’t actually remember any of that happening! It is a clear liquid base that was absorbed into my scalp! But if it did transfer it was very minimal because it doesn’t cause a stain to my memory…like oil based products do

My doctor said that it does decrease collagen, which can cause skin aging BUT it’s because you’re not washing your hands well enough after applying the minoxidil and then touching your face or letting it drip on your face and not washing that off.

@@theslayologist your hair looks beautiful but for a year? Usually it's 6 months and if no results they stop war with results they stop. Did you try the corticosteroid cream first? Or oil for the scalp

Actually I don’t do either anymore…I use hair growth oils & avocado oil as a deep conditioner. But I didn’t have any side effects with the injections nor the minoxidil, it was a lengthy 6-8 months process before seeing any real results

@@theslayologist thank you for responding! My dermatologist just suggested I start using minoxidil. Has the natural oils been helping you grow your hair loss?

@@jusim Yes actually, but most importantly I had to stop doing the 1 thing that kept breaking it out…which was dying my own hair…sadly it took me this long to realize that’s what the problem has been this whole time…now I let a professional do it!
