My god! I knew these guys were eclectic in their musical output, but what beautiful a surprise, this is one of my favourites seasonal tunes, which I'm used to hearing in a jazz context (some favourites are by Hank Jones with his solo piano version, the Bill Evans / Tony Bennett piano/vocal duo, Robert Glasper has a sick solo version too; and of course, brother of Hank, Thad Jones the original master who came up with the music; the orchestra version just gorgeous). This MC version is sublime. People are always saying it; these are true A-grade musicians. I love their take on this!
