What did I resolve? Any more changes? Was it the radio?

Ouch! Sorry for your experience with that 'test' flight. It almost seems a little like you have gone back in time to about 1909 or 10 - trying to figure out how this 'newfangled aeroplane' & science of aeronautics is supposed to work. Thanks for your video . . . Good luck.

had the same thing happen on the second flight on my minuette luckily it was high enough to get out of the spin, pulled out at about 6ft.lol mine seems to like aileron to start the turn then opposite aileron thu the turn.I doubled the throws on mine.

Given the minimal "roll" in my application I had thought that this would likely be what would be intended so I was hesitant about the mix but the way the first model perfomred I think it will be fine. Could you elaborate on doubled throws?

@@JoshuaOrchard sorry I meant aili 3/4 up/down elev 1/2 up/down rudd at the max I could get. I also moved the cg to the middle of the spar but its been to hot here to retest.

Josh, I'm wondering how much washout is built into the wing and additionally, how strong the wing is to resist the torsional stresses caused by the use of ailerons? By watching the video, it appears that even during the runup and take off that there is a right-wing drop (and a right-hand yaw?). Then, as the plane continues the circuit 180 degrees offset to the runway the right-hand aka: inboard and lower portion of the wing begins to suffer a tip-stall that results in the nose-down spin and crash. Of course, I don't know what your inputs were during each phase of the flight........

Zero washout. I even measured that and wing incidence. The wing seems just as strong as Marks' at OSMW but again, we cannot see any of these smaller details in-flight without a camera recording them. Right wing drop is due to the righ rudder I'm giving it and the dihedral rolling the model. It's minor but you cna also see that I'm not using ailerons on takeoff. A tip stall would only be induced at a lower airspeed, this was not even close to a stall or reaching one. Good thoughts and I appreciate the close observation!

For the aileron-rudder mix, the direction are the same correct? So when the aileron stick goes right the rudder also goes right and when the stick goes left the aileron and rudder also go left.

you can mix it any way you want but yes, a normal mix would be the same direction. but if you mix aili to rudd. don't go past max throws on your setup and start with a mild mix like 25% or so.

@@1flstc Exactly. I'll be informing the person that this model goes to that this should be the very FIRST thing to look to adjust. So between what I've initially mixed and the rate switch they should be able to get a feel for where things need to be dialed.
