I remember watching this game on TV. When Rodgers connected on that Hail Mary, I didn't even flinch. I just sorta said "Meh.", turned off my TV, and went to bed. I couldn't muster up strength to do anything else. Being a Lions fan this long means that I'm literally incapable of feeling anything.
Man. I started jumping up and down screaming. I was so happy. I scared the hell out of my dog though. If was one of the best games I'll ever watch. What a comeback
Any QB in the NFL can throw it exactly pike that. Not even impressive. The timing of the jump and the catch us way more impressive. Plus the refs had the Packers on the moneyline.
@@machpunch9382 you keep saying that...but why aren't there highlights of every QB in the NFL doing it? Rodgers has like 3 of these plays in his career. Show me some others getting that much air on a ball. I'll wait for the link.
The quality of the video matches the quality of the Lions. Looks like a nice stadium; maybe someday Detroit will get a pro team there to play the NFL teams.
That was an incredible view of that historical moment. I had to see it on TV it looked like a awesome throw on TV, but this view actually shows the sheer greatness that is Aaron Rodgers.
I was a freshman in HS when I saw this I changed the channel in the 3rd bc I gave up on the packs, but I ended up going back to it to see bc I still had hope for AROD. Everyone was sleeping and when that happened I was jumping all around in my room and screaming, I couldn’t go to sleep after witnessing this. CHESSEHEAD FOR LIFE!
Weird remembering watching this on TV with my grandpa and now im watching it from a stand POV. Crazy how quiet this stadium is, cant even hear myself think when im at Lambeau 😂
One of the most amazing things I've ever seen!!! Rodgers is the best QB! Everyone takes him for granted for some reason, but the man works magic on that field. And he has the stats to back it up!!! Love my Packers!!!!
I was at that game.......I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING AT THE ENDING!!! I didn't care who was gonna win I was more lucky I witnessed the Miracle in Motown myself!!
I remember i was at work when this happened. I was cleaning up after an event and the lounge area tv was on. I kept listening but started watching the last few minutes. Clutch Rodgers!!! GO PACK GO!!!
I never forgot that thursday night. I think while Rodgers was in throwing motion i went with the ball outta my seat cause you could've clearly seen Richard Rodgers being the recipient of that ball
From this angle, the face mask penalty on Rodger's looks brutal. On TV it looked like a penalty but barely. This angle looked savage. IFD, I'm a Packer's fan.
For the home team being on defense at the end of the game... it did not seem very loud in that stadium. It should have been so loud the video would have been blurred. Guess thats what separates some trams. It got louder when the visiting team scored than it was before the play.
Thats because the crowd was quiet because they were pissed off they gave Rodgers a free play for nothing. Crowd was taken out by the refs. Game should have already been over.
@@odizz2k11 it’s brutal being a Lions fan, we’ve been through so much heartache. But I know one thing, we are a very very loyal fan base. We stick with our team no matter what
@@spencer8035lol i remember that, and i will take that. But i have to admit the Packers have owned us over like the last 20 years. I despise the Packers
@@doughknight3730 im a bears fan and i despise the packers alot too they have also owned, despite us being rivals i feel bears and lions fans have alot in common
I'm from Scotland and only been watching for the last two seasons. Might seem a dumb question but do NFL stadiums have a section of the stadium specifically for the away support? Or is it just like Rugby here in the UK where the fans are well behaved and home and away fans are amongst each other?? Just asking because if this happened in Soccer(football) it would cause a full scale riot pretty much.
+dudealert89 Honestly, the fans are pretty calm here. But these are 2 teams that hate each other, so there can be fights. I doesn't happen extremely often, but they do happen. The stadiums do not have a specific section just for away support I don't think. They just mingle in with the home fans.
Not a dumb question at all, In High School Football, they're home and away sections, and to extent in college football as well. In the pro's, in this case the NFL, there isn't. Although there is sections reserved for season ticket holders.
Was the Detroit fan wearing the Vasquez jersey a real person? That was a padded wall, omg that’s wide, like cheesy chilli dogs anytime of the day. Wow a walking 400-pounder
Ha! Arron Rodgers out for the season. Oh what are u gonna do with out your beloved Arron Rodgers, oh no!!!!😢😢!!!!! Go lions!!!!! That was not a face mask at the end!!!! PACKERS SUCK!!!!!!! ARRON RODGERS SUCKS!!!!! GO LIONS!!!!!!!!🦁🦁🦁🦁
So tell us all again how Stafford can make the throws that Rodgers makes, re: that throw to Jared Cook last year that helped beat the Cowboys. Also keep in mind that Rodgers often has to do that with a below average running game, makeshift offensive line, etc. P.S. That play happened so quickly that the refs had no choice. It was either a face mask or a horsecollar tackle. Nice try, Luke.
They call this a miracle when he plays the worst team in NFL history. What a JOKE. Green Bay is spotted 6 games every year in this bad central division.
My kid and I were watching that game I'm a huge packer fan and my son is a lions fan , after that play my kid said to me "dad I would love a Rodgers jersey for xmas"
Love it how Lions fans say they were robbed of a win because of a bogus roughing the passer call... Rodgers got slung down by his head and then made you pay for it by proving he can zero time left on the clock and still beat you. You wanna talk about being robbed of a game then talk about that interception at Seattle that counted as a TD because the replacement referees had no idea what they were doing.
He was grabbed by the front of the shoulder pad....the way he had his head cocked it drew a flag for a facemask that clearly didn't happen setting up the hail mary attempt.......yes they were robbed.... similar thing happened to KC against new England in the afc championship in January 2019.....chris jones was being held and his thumb grazed the facemask of brady and they called roughing that negated an interception that would have iced the game for KC....but nope....they were gifted a bogus first down that led to another score.....the next drive the dee ford offsides happened.....that should've been a saints/chiefs Superbowl....which would have been a lot more entertaining
