Actual difference is about $8000. We mention later in the video. The unit we offer for $10,000 is the same quality as the unit that typically goes for $30,000 is the point.

Appreciate this but I think you are missing the mark....don't think anyone is cross shopping $2k to almost $10k.....would love to see and think it makes more sense to compare contrast Bon Pergola, Hanso, struxure X would be a much better comparison as they are more in the same class.....those are some others I am cross shopping.....would love to see... Great looking product. At that price point though - the shades (going forward) really need to be “plug and play” and an option to be motorized with no pre-drilling required by the customer; the motor on top should be hidden from view (from all angles); if you can’t figure out a fully motorized system, then the louvers and shades should be able to be manually opened / closed and raised / lowered from inside; and lastly maybe offer the entire electrified / motorized features as options. How many years have you guys been doing this? Seems like you have a pretty good product but not sure if it’s worth it to drop 10k on a direct to consumer online product that has very few real world reviews and videos. Your videos are actually kind of selling me on the Costco one because if doesn’t hold up, I can still buy 2 or 3 replacements over the years and still be under 10k
Great question. If you watch our “Who Are We?” video, we talk more about it. We’ve been selling our product for the last 3 years now, but direct to consumer is new in the last year. Prior to this last year the product was only sold custom on residential or commercial applications for restaurants and hotels. Best of luck with your decision. FWIW I had the Costco one. Was great until one freak storm, and now it is a pile of bent metal in my backyard. Props to this video for explaining the quality differences.
Unfortunately, the cost of these raw parts is significantly higher than $5k. The only way to shave cost is to shave weight, as we're charged per pound of aluminum. When we shave weight, we lose strength. If we did that, we might get to their price point, but we'd be selling something we don't want to stand behind as a company. We are trying to find ways to get it as strong with less weight, but so far, that hasn't been feasible. I agree a lower price point would make everyone happy, but only if we can make it as strong. I've been wanting one of these for some time now but the price point is just too high. The manual one is closer to my budget so I'll see. The luxury one looks better bc of its size and height but for the price I just can't see myself spending that amount.

Usually with heavy wind, there is rain. Our system is designed to be open or closed in rain and/or wind. That's why we engineered it with a 130 mph wind rating. If the winds are strong enough to exceed the 130 mph wind rating, typically your house is gone too.

Can you mount infrared heaters at the top interior to keep people warm on a cold night? If so, is it possible to hide the wiring in the posts or something?
