Hello everyone!! Torres here and today I been thinking a lot about the Mirage 2000!
She is a plane that i enjoy a lot but sadly I dont get to fly her very often because the servers where she can fight properly are normally empty So I Thought if i were to bring the Mirage 2000 to a Fox 3 Server that i enjoy, how would i do it? and i came up with this theory, the Mirage 2000 is a very fast Aircraft and it performs very well at very high altitudes, it does not struggle to maneuver at heights of 40,000 feet or higher like other planes, soo let me illustrate you with an example. Lets say i take the mirage as high and fast as i can and there is an enemy below me he then throws a Fox 3 at me but because i am super high the fox 3 cant maneuver so well and because i am super fast I should be able to avoid it and at the same time fire my fox 1. Or something like that anyhow I ended up joining one of my favorite servers BlueFlag Buddyspike Persian Golf Modern and these are the results! I hope you guys enjoy

finally someone using the mirage like it's supposed to be. There's a french youtuber who does videos with the people @ razbam and they said that the 530 was really designed for those high speed, high altitude engagements

Lol I love seeing people discover the potential of the 530, since the update last November it’s an absolutely insane missile. I once shot down an F-15 that was running cold at Mach 1, 15 miles from me at around 30k ft, I fired at 40k ft and it hit him in the ass at Mach 3, they’re absolutely hilariously brutal.

Cool stuff! It's no coincidence that air forces have very specific tactics to deal with high fast flyers ;) And on a more practical note, imagine using this same tactic but either with the Tomcat and Phoenix combo or, for something truly terrifying, with the Typhoon (with basically identical or better performance than the Mirage) and Meteor (which vastly outranges the AMRAAM).

Same situation here with the tomcat! I was slinging Phoenixes from 40,000ft and glided back to maykop (55 miles!) In the end I landed with 500lb of fuel to spare. It was worth it though, 4 kills.

I'm usually more partial to the giraffe belly stab, but I've seem some Mirages do the super high alt thing, I'll have to try it myself I've just have never been super enthusiastic on advertising where I am to everyone, and my fox 1s always seem frequently get notched by opponents that are below me.

Yes and no... I was typing on chat cus the F18 got mad he didn't kill me soo while explaining to him I got distracted and missed the airfield

I mean tbf the Eurofighter will be able to do the same sort of tactics but with AMRAAMs instead. Maybe it will create a new BVR meta?

Did you lock a target? What about the range? You would likely be inside 20 miles if you are slow and on the ground.

This is like watching clown pilots from clown world countries with maybe a couple of hours a year of clown time. Clown fight lol. The clowns never used their burner. Clown gunnery skills was questionable, and kept taking high aspect clown, constantly pulling clowns into the hud. The second clown manages to get the clown to overshoot due to this but doesn't do a clown reversal. I think other famous DCS clown would shot everyone here down with a clown bird.
