Awesome vid ! Love watching gameplay with commentary. I'm trying to learn sequencing etc. Learning all of this is so fun!

Thanks for watching! Sequencing is a core skill to the game and something I still mess up all the time (and RU-vid comments don’t let me forget it). But whether I’m right or wrong in any given moment, I hope that by vocalizing my thought process, it at least gets people thinking about the possible options one can have and trying your best to play the best cards in the right order.

Miraidon gameplay! Lets go! I know you don't like coaching but i think that's only while you're streaming lol. I believe you had the turn 1 donk in that raging bolt game. With lumineon in hand i would have put the iron hands in the active, then on your turn search arven with lumi, grab switch cart and forest seal stone. Attach energy for turn to miraidon, grab another generator with stone, play generators, switch cart miraidon into active and donk for game. But i understood why you didn't, it's instinctive to not put hands in the active with that juicy retreat cost lol.

I am fine with strategy talk after the fact as long as it’s respectful. The moment a RU-vid comment veers into personal attacks against me or my opponent it’s an instant ban from me. Your comment was great :) It’s certainly easier to say start Iron Hands knowing my opponent was going to flip a sole Ogerpon. In the moment, I went with my gut of not stranding Iron Hands and hoping I could make something happen with everything else. But to your point, saving Lumineon would then give me access to Arven and potentially more routes to victory. Something to be mindful of next time.

That pokestop hurt me lol I’m always tempted to play someone’s pokestop when it’s in play but I have to remind myself that if my deck was built for it I would have put it in my deck

I’m using regi v instead of Zapdos and I’m also using smeargle as a generator, I’m loving so far I’m gonna try it with ursaluna. Also I love heavy baton, it has helped me out loads

I think you’re better off cutting the baton for a future capsule instead. Extra 20 can be clutch and free retreat for both hands and thorns
@InThirdPerson
@InThirdPerson 14 дней назад
Future Booster is a reasonable alternative. The build I used as a starting point didn’t have Baton or Future Booster and still went 10-1 (1st place) at Late Night 199 :o
@JoseMartinez0523
@JoseMartinez0523 14 дней назад
@@InThirdPerson how often did you find yourself using the baton? Cause i think it’s a safe bet that it wasn’t your main tool to grab whenever you’d arven

Great deck, but I have a few concerns. You have a bunch of things u want to bench, like squakabily, Zapdos, mew, lumineon, and Ursuluna, which most of them are 2 primers, being an easy counter catcher or boss KO. With tandem unit, you can’t find things like mew, Greeninja, and squakabily. Only having ultra ball is not enough search for games . 17 energies ? SERIOUSLY ?! at least make it 14-16 like some Japanese deck builds . That way, you have access to more Pokémon search .
@InThirdPerson
@InThirdPerson 14 дней назад
Feel free to tweak the deck however you like, but this build is based off of Oskulden’s 1st place finish at Late Night 199 with a record of 10-1. Standings: play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament/ln199/standings Their List: play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament/ln199/player/adamdabitch/decklist It’s a build that has already proven itself in the biggest online tournament series. And their build actually had more energy than where I ended up. I took out one basic lightning for the Heavy Baton to have the option of keeping more energy on the board. There’s lots of ways to build a good Miraidon deck and this is just one of many that has proven to work well. Also, there are a lot of top-placing Japanese lists that have 17+ energy too: www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/Fkkfkb-MFdEcJ-FV5kfw/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/QnLHnL-HtvnN3-gg69Pn/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/nLHNLn-XY7AO9-gPHiN9/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/MUUp2R-rmjMDQ-E2yyXy/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/Fbbbd5-eD4vEG-5kkkVk/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/c8aGcD-c7lm4g-KY4Y48/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/nHgLng-5acf8g-HLg9g9/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/c8cDGc-IVNjmS-DDJ4J8/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/c4xc8a-ZfbVH1-84JGcY/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/kVkV5f-XWYqQ9-bdFFVw/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/R22MXp-a4MtWn-SE3ppy/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/nnHigL-RBDG7E-9Pg6LL/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/gnQgiH-Qdhp7C-gQHLn9/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/fFVddk-MV1uFG-b5bVFF/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/FVbf5F-IANAgG-FFfdkk/ this one has 20 www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/n9H9LQ-aSuK0R-NgL9Ln/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/kf5wfV-vv8DLp-VbFkVf/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/FVvF5V-ZNCtGm-b5k1kF/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/9gnHgL-xKBAcm-LigggL/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/cxGKcD-GhbWja-4cKGx8/ www.pokemon-card.com/deck/result.html/deckID/9gn66L-HJCBGv-gL9NHg/ I didn’t even post them all, but I think most are running 17+ energy. You can check out the full list of top placing Miraidon decks in Japan here: pokecabook.com/archives/2278 You’re not wrong for wanting to make the adjustments that fit your tastes. But I’m not wrong for making adjustments to fit mine. Again, beyond the core skeleton of a deck archetype, there are many ways to build a successful variation of a deck archetype and it’s great that people find new and different ways to make these decks work.

Whenever i play raging bolt decks, i leave iron thorns in the active and they can’t use their typical energy acceleration and really helps stahl out their deck

If on a real tcg matches, u have to observe your area, the area infested with greninja ex and charizard players will devour you whole. Just 1 energy from greninja ex is already enough to make you give up. I like Miraidon ex deck, the current ones, but its really still just a gambling deck for me because the energy acceleration highly dependant on electric generators.

I have a question, why do we only run lightning and double turbo energy when Miraidon needs psychic? He can't attack, no?
@InThirdPerson
@InThirdPerson 5 дней назад
You’re mixing up Miraidon (TEF 121) from Future Box with this Miraidon ex (SVI 81). Miraidon ex doesn’t need psychic energy.

I am a Future Hands player and I can't ever seem to beat Raging Bolt, even if I go second. Any pointers on that one?
@InThirdPerson
@InThirdPerson 14 дней назад
Iron Thorns might be able to slow down Ogerpon a bit. Iron Hands and Miraidon can KO Ogerpon with enough damage mods. Really though that matchup sucks and there’s no silver bullet to flipping that match in your favour.

@InThirdPerson Thanks for the brainstorm! I couldn't decide on if it was just a bad match up or if it was me. I've been ti kering with the Future Miraidon ex in it, but I'm not too sure. Thanks again!

Piloting Future hands against raging bolt... I can only win when for some odd reason they have continuous bad hands... and I play almost perfect with great hands... this match up sent me back to miraidon orig. Way more of a match for Rbolt imo

Fair enough! I have mixed feelings about removing Raichu. However, a number of successful lists have started using Ursaluna instead of Raichu and I wanted to give it a shot. After trying the build without Raichu, I still don’t know where I stand on whether to keep it or not.
