While India has done a great job archiving and preserving this haveli, it should consider digitizing the immortal TV series of Ghalib (played by Naseeruddin Shah) to make it a pleasurable experience for viewing in the HD format. Of course, you have nothing to do with it but a suggestion nonetheless.

Mujhe mirza ghalib ka dewan un k ghar adress zubani yaad he. Bus ek baar Allah meri ye khahish puri karde. Jese ghalib ne kaha tha hoi muddat k ghalib mar gaya par yaad ata he. Wo har ek baat pe kehna k youn hota to kya hota.

Dear Richa ONE MORE BIG MISTAKE is also found in another verse written on the ENTRANCE of the Ghalib Haveli Original verse is : KOYE VEERAANI SEE VEERAANI HAI DASHT KO DEKH KE GHAR YAAD AAYAA Now look in Hindi this verse is written absolutely correct as this is written in DEEWAN E GHALIB۔ But in Urdu 2nd line is totally different and incorrect. Look as below KOYE VEERAANI SEE VEERAANI HAI GHAR KO DEKH KAR DASHT YAAD AAYA Yani Dasht ki jagah par ghar pehley likh diya gaya hai. Aur doosri ghalati yeh ha keh doosri line men DEKH KAR is incorrect while DEKH KAY is correct. This is an information for the fans n lovers of Ghalib. Plz.Note it and thanks for noticing it. First of all to say ur voice is God gifted and fascinated as well. 2nd thing to say I have noticed that the verse written on the wall is amazingly incorrect. In Urdu it is correct but in Hindi words are scattered n misplaced. It is a wonder to say as No one did pay heed to such a blunder of the verse. The correct verse is Ug raha hai dar o deewar sey sabza Ghalib Ham bayabaan men hain aur ghar m bahaar aayi ha Now you can read in Hindi This is Ug raha dar o deewar pey sabza Ghalib And 2nd line is correct. Yani 2 ghalatian han No.1 ug raha kay aagey lafz " HAI" nahee hai No.2 deewar " SEY " ki jagah Deewar " PEY " likha hua hai.

बहुत ख़ूबसूरत। मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब का मक़ाम देख कर बहुत अच्छा लगा। मगर मुझे एक बात का बेहद अफ़सोस है की (ख़ुदा ए सुख़न) यानी शायरी के ख़ुदा या शायरी के भगवान कहे लीजिए। (मीर तक़ी मीर) का जो निशान ए मीर है वहाँ कोई साफ़ सफ़ाई नहीं है कूड़ा पड़ा होता हैं।मैंने देखा बहुत अफ़सोस हुआ था देखकर। अगर शायरी का कहीं नाम आता है तो मीर तक़ी मीर और मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब सहाब का नाम पहले आता है। ग़ालिब सहाब की तो निशानियाँ तो बहुत ख़ूबसूरती से रखी है। मगर जो ग़ालिब सहाब से भी पहले आते हैं। उनकी निशान ए क़ब्र का इतना बूरा हाल वो अच्छा नहीं लगा। ग़ालिब सहाब मीर साहब के लिए कहते थे। रेख्ता के तुम ही उस्ताद नहीं हो ग़ालिब कहते हैं अगले ज़माने में कोई मीर भी था

Loved the 'Ghalib Haveli' visuals that I came searching for after watching Gulzar saab's 'Mirza Ghalib'. But the host left a lot to desire. Excessive mannerisms, urban slang/drawl was a distraction. The constant fluctuation between Hindi/English and sandpaper Urdu was a real damper on the theme.
It all seems to be coming from a place where one is a victim of expecting stereotypical behaviour from people who visit profound places, they got to look a certain way, speak a certain way,!....it is important to recognize the fact that Mirza Ghalib is liked by all kinds of people, ALSO the ones with 'excessive mannerisms, urban slang/drawl, one who constantly fluctuate between hindi/english and sandpaper urdu....cuz what Mirza Ghalib wrote was not physics/chemistry/deterministic science...he wrote from heart for 'hearts'.....whichever heart catches his vibration can like him, can gravitate towards him...long after he is gone physically....lets applaud people who bring to the table something that people 'the ghazals' kind forgot to have done, and this one has done it with a lot of reverence and deference. Being hung up on style ...well'
Everything will be right if your dress style represents old Delhi style and music. Old Delhi style means beautiful sawarkameez and Galib means Mutual Delhi. The heart lost in such Hinglish video on Mirza Galib.

Historical monuments/ Archaeological sites in India are so basic. Info n relics/ materials are put together with little thought. Info is commonplace. The experience visiting them is so lacking a story woven in & so stripped of emotions/ depth that it feels like a huge let dowm . Worse most are badly maintained. Lothal, Hawa Mahal, Chittorgarh Fort.. check any.
Ghalib is legendary. You didn't do the justice with his intro. You have zero passion , I mean we didn't get even the feeling of being in the house of Ghalib, you actually ruined it. one shouldn't be doing something he/she is not passionate about.
Kamran Shahid hahahah i know when you would have gotten the feels - had i inserted clips of naseeruddin shah, played a few jagjit singh tracks... by the way, my videos are not a packaged showreel like a movie, they are as raw as when you actually visit a place. how it really is, when you battle the heat and freeze out on the roads and in the city and come to a heritage point. it’s not all romance and drama, the reality is that you don’t hear shahrukh khan’s DDLJ violin when you propose to a girl. anyway, that’s that. secondly, and most importantly - passion is a very personal experience - the other person has no capacity and caliber to guage it.
