So cool to see someone so passionate about what they do.

I was so lucky to meet both Ben and Luke this gen con and get signed copies of Maze Rats and Torchbearer. I ran an open table Maze Rats campaign in middleschool through highschool. It was surreal to get the copy of Maze Rats I brought with me to school signed. So grateful for Ben's channel and his rpgs✌️❤

Read the title and thought this would be a reel of unfortunate mishaps at GenCon. This was cool too though 😊

this is so cool - deeply respect anyone who attempts to recontextualise history in a game setting beyond your typical grand strategy/diplomacy/wargaming fare

I bought all of Miseries and Misfortunes from that booth. The Paris book is fantastic.

I don't think I would want to own this, but for the right person this would be incredible. Playing that game at GenCon w folks who were super hyped about it would probably be pretty dang fantastic. His passion is infectious.

I bought all of them at Gencon. I had some of the PDFs. I love Luke's games and dove right into it.

Good for you, Questing Beast with this interview. And good for Luke Crane with his new edition here. I love to buy a game just to read cover to cover. Even if I don't get to play with someone, I'm happy just reading the rules and instructions. This explanation Luke gave here sounds like it would kinda interest me. I may be in the minority for all I know, but I'm the type of person who misses the days when Magic: The Gathering starter packs came with a tiny booklet of the rules and instructions inside.

Dude - its not that hard to get. Play with the basic rules and bloody versus and it sings. If you watch Judd Karlman and Sean Nittner's campaign (Into the Vault and Nara and the Wheel) neither of them get into the more complicated systems and both of the campaign rock. The core mechanic of advancement and Beliefs, artha etc. is all yo uneed for a long long game.
