Thanks for the timeless memories you gave us. I know my comment will mean nothing and will be lost in the grand wasteland of RU-vid comments but I hope you know how special your music is to a lot of people.
Bro this was the first video I seen on headbangers ball when I was getting into heavier music this album will forever have a special place in my heart ❤️
Had to come here after finding out that these guys are hanging it up after two decades. Thank you Misery Signals. Easily the greatest the modern day metalcore band we’ve ever gotten. Inspired the genre to no end. That’s for sure.
Yeah ! it's 2018 and still no other band can stand even close to the music these guys did back then.. Of Malice... is my favourite and most played album since hmmm since i started to listen to this genre and belive me it's been loooooong time ago, i like and love metalcorish djent nowadays but like i said no other band did so much for metalcore as MS i will always come back to their music i must ! day after day...
These guys save my life over and over again....Especially this album. I lost my girlfriend, unexpectedly in the summer of 2015. She kept all of our pictures on a camera that was destroyed in the accident. This song has helped me get through it. Everything that they compose is a masterpiece. 👍
It really does! To some it’s just a dude screaming because he’s angry about something but it all screams and instruments encompass so many emotions like love, grief, regret and so on. Really not a lot of bands can do it as well as MS.
Lots of good memories associated with this album. Makes me feel like I'm in high school again. Good days, good times, when Metalcore was fresh and real.
Just discovered this band thanks to my favorite band counterparts, they said they were heavily influenced by this band and I can DEFINITELY hear it and I love them already
Counterparts are an amazing group. TDBHAH is a masterpiece. Especially that last track Soil. The way it just sort of slow down and melts away to the end.
There's nobody out doing it like this anymore. 10 years later and this bands still the most exciting I've heard from their peers or those who came after. Just my opinion don't attack me.
This sounds EXACTLY like so many other bands, double kick drums, pound, pound, pound, guitarists playing as fast as possible and shitty growling vocals ad nauseum. This isn't anything unique.
Crap., so you saw a band play a show and think they're so good. Yawn, Misery Signals was just another band, nothing more. Never went anywhere because they simply weren't good enough.
You will be missed, thank you guys for the amazing music, your songs helped me a lot on bad and good moments of life..I feel sad cuz I'll never watch you guys on my Portugal, but you always be one of my favorite bands.wish you all the best
I recent introduced this band to my son. I love this song and this band amount old school coheed. these are bands I want my child to experience. luckily, he has his own taste and loves different songs from bands I love.
I love MisSigs energy in this video. As if they're living for the people who no longer are. I'll always love this band. Malice and Controller are incomparable albums.
This time... It was our summer. It was something no one could take from us! Sometimes that night, seems so close Like I, could hold it You said alright, we'll be fine. But how could we have known? Do you remember? Roll down the window let in night air. I always thought we'd be together You said we've never gone this way before I must not let you die Your memory survives Hope that tonight things are fine As I lay awake The light cuts the southern sky And glass stings my lungs These scars they will always remind me of you and how you're always with me Won't you say and be with me tonight? Don't you know I tried to find those pictures With no light I lost them as I lost you Hoping to see and be with you again Wishing the best for you my lost friend To hear you laugh one last time I hope you know I tried to find those pictures Jordo. Of us that night in Detroit with the Pressure Point and I now feel the need to fly and hide inside your loving arms I swear I'd give the whole thing up for you.
From 3:08 til the end just breaks my heart. It's the most powerful thing i've ever seen expressed in music...I've listened to it so many times these past few days, i've not even lost a close friend like that, but I almost feel like I have just because of how emotional this song is.
with all its praise this is one of the underrated metal albums of all time. everything is perfect! and unfortunately everything went downhill after this album. I just find it frustrating that so many haven't discovered this album. I just hope everyone who has a love for this album can spread the word.
this is why i love bands like this. there's meaning behind every lyric. obviously i do not know the guys in the band or do i know "jordo" but i get chills listening to this song. for a few minutes i can experience what these guys went through, and thats music.
Man, ive been listening to this album for almost 14 years and it still blows me away how fucking great this album is. Misery Signals has been my favourite band since i was introduced to their music all that time ago and they are still my favourite band to this day.
I started listening to grindcore and fast extreme stuff years later but this song and album will always have a place in my heart.. My teenager years were the best. Thanks Misery Signals for share that time next to me.
I made this song recently an obituary of the lyrics of my late cousin that passed in February 2022 and it makes me in tears that this is most important song about him and he lost his brother in 2000s I like to thank you that this song will describe how I love him and will always miss him in words that no one will understand.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I’ll be seeing you boys in Toronto. One last time. Hope I get to take the mic and sing with you all again! So much love! You’ve no idea what you’ve helped me survive.
every couple Weeks i skip the ASAP Rocky, Vince Staples, Biggie Smalls, and blast me some Misery Signals. This song got me through some SHIIIIIIIT! Cheers to good music boys.
Bro I believe everyone should have respect for any artist of any genre as long as they play with balls and passion . A perfect example of a musician that was known for his hard work ethic and passion was 2 pac.I love everything from Spanish music to many variations of rock definitely punk ,metalcore and heavy metal , I am also into electronic and hip hop music.
This year... I didn't even see summer come. But, this is still the only Misery Signals Album I've ever heard. I promised myself that when my old friend left the band, I'd just stop listening. Because I wanted to hold onto that one perfect album. And I did.
This song is very nice. It's nice to see a blast from the past and see who helped pave the way for bands nowadays, from a musical junkie standpoint. Even though most of the offspring have had shit years except the 2010-12 years when it picked up with bands like AA, TWA, and TDWP. But other then that, most bands today just use breakdowns and repeated, catchy lyrics (AA!, Woe, Is Me) instead of creative, musical masterpieces and colorful lyrics (ADTR, BMTH & Killswitch Engaged), and it's a pity that this one had 200k views when others have 1.5 mill+
This song is about 2 members and best friends dying in a car accident. Who cares about the genre. Respect the feelings these guys were feeling. The pain they felt "the year the summer ended in June"- the month of the car crash
i have had the pleasure of seeing these guys, and everything i just stood in awe at how tight and amazing this band really is. So under rated. Amazingly jealous of my best friend who had the pleasures of touring south east asia with these guys.
I mean, the bulk of this lineup was in 7 Angels 7 Plagues which existed and had all the basic components of this sound in place when The Opposite of December was released. They doubtlessly heard it and it probably found its way into their style to some degree, but they would have been pretty much the same without PTW.
@@TheFlameBladeWielder Even then, I'm listening to Castahead / Intercede (which I had never heard), and I can pick out seeds of what would become 7A7P. Like I said, it's not doubtful that Opposite of December had some sort of influence on them, but I also still think it was somewhat minor and they had a sense of themselves as a melodic metalcore band before that album was released. All speculation though.
@@mattslay9407 Yeah, I have no idea how much an influence PTW influenced them, there was a bunch of bands popping up around that time which sounded like that like Arkangel, Heaven Shall Burn, Unearth and Prayer for Cleansing. PTW were the first with Distance Only Makes the Heart Grow Fonder being 98, but I feel like a lot of the bands developed the idea of metallic hardcore + melo-death independently
This song hits different when you have friends who off it. Rest in peace malik, tommy, shireman, and danny. "I must not let you die." "You are with me. Always with me. Won't you stay and be with me tonight." You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten
