The Michael Jackson bit, Peter Kay was doing this gig at the O2 in London, when Jacko was supposed to be doing his shows. He died, the space became available and Kay took it.
@@user-ks1he8ip9s OK, thanks for the update. I’m a real detail-oriented guy & little things like that interest me. I used to drive my ex-wife crazy with that.
I will say, although I'm of the "sit and read the lyric book in the CD" generation - the Babyface one always sounded, umm, mishear-able(!?) Album, single or on the radio..
Great 'karaoke' impression at the beginning there. Don't know if anybody else has already answered this in the comments, but to answer your question, Peter Kay is from Bolton, Greater Manchester, UK. The accent/dialect over there is particularly strong. Source: me who lived in that area for several years. Edit: The Duffy song he's referring to, she does indeed sing 'mercy', but her Welsh accent definitely makes it come across as 'birdseed'. And yes, it is 'he'll never phone you'.
Also, my mother had a set prayer she used for grace at table. At the end was, “bless this food you have provided. May we use it for its intended use.” My sister’s first time up at prayer bat (she was five) went well until the end. “May we use it for toots (rhymes with foots) and tender juice.”
Love Peter Kay, he's very good at the "observational" part of comedy, and does it with a disarming Northern charm (Yorkshire). He actually disappeared for a long time due to his poor mental health, he's only recently started touring again.
I like you guys. Your vibe is so real. I thought ‘bad moon on the rise’ was ‘there’s a bathroom on the right.’ My daughter and her bestie thought “I’m shameless” was (belt it out) “I’m SHAVIN’”
Peter Kay is a national treasure in the UK. He comes from Bolton area in the north of England, hence the accent. He has been a star in the UK for more than 20 years and his tours always sell out fast. He is a stand up comedian plus he does his own comedy drama TV shows, which are all well worth watching and generally funny as feck.
The proper lyrics - Just let me state for the record, we're giving love in a family dose. You can't go on, thinking nothing's wrong, but now. I can hear your prayers. Your burdens I will bear I believe the heart does go on. All souls to what's true After you do he'll never phone ya. Every time I think of it, I pinch myself. I can't believe you kiss your car at night.
Peter Kay is from my hometown Bolton, he did a few british comedy series that i would recommend you watch, Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddys Road to Nowhere, i am however unsure whether itd be worth it for you guys. so many of the jokes would be lost on the context of a lot of jokes just not being known...😅 think I'll rewatch them now though to double check though, thanks for cheering my day up
you need to react to the ricky gervais show, where he introduces his friend karl pilkington, seems to be a favorite with American reactors. its hilarious 😅
This english guy is so hilarious. That's all about what this is. Miss heard we've all sang to the songs and thought it was saying something else, and you're favorite Celine Dion, I'm from Canada. She's from quebec, Canada. She says my heart does go on, but it really sounds like hot dogs.... This guy is hilarious. That's why the very first one by the pointer sisters just staple the vicar.A vicar is like a priest. You know a guy in church they say a vicar
Ok misheard as real words is one thing and obviously everyone does it. Even if the words seem to be arranged nonsensically, because we have plenty of more well anunciated examples to build that mess on. It's when I make up words because I can't make out what they say, and sing it that way for years before finding out the real words that I feel a bit ridiculous
Yes, the song he'll never bone you. That was dusty springfield singing What to get when you fall in love...he says.."bone you" Dusty sings"he'll never PHONE you..
Munfu... unrelated note, love your dopeass lids. I'm from SF... I want to send you a couple. You all have like a PO Box I can send to? Much love y'all!
