Great video. If you take the perfect loads like you said at @ $2200 every 3 days comes to $733 per day and minus out the 34 resets for the month at 24 days which is probably more then you could run legally in 30 days always loaded still only comes out to $17,600. Keep up the great content. One day hopefully I will meet up with you on the road . Jim IT transporter. No one I have ever talked to hauling ever gets the perfect loads for 30 days straight.

I also think it's impossible to do 30k in 30 days. He said 2200 miles every 3 days. So at $2/mile that's $1466/day and $35,200/month. The guy he is talking about also said this is the first load over $2/mile most have been around $1.65. The other guy gives a ton of misleading info.

The guy that made the video you're referencing has a habit of only telling how much he's making based on the days he's loaded. He never mentions the deadhead miles and days. If you take 4 days to run 2000mi + going from Indiana to the West Coast, you're going to have to run 4 days and 2000mi + back for your next load on your own dime. When someone says they made $4000 in 4 days, that sounds great but it's actually $4000 in 8 days minus all expenses and then taxes on the rest.

One more thing. The video is titled "CAN it be" not I made 30k in 30 days. He's posing the question not bragging about what you claim may be impossible to do legally. Ok, that's it, I'm done.
@phxbro1

I agree with you 100% , especially a new driver. A guy would need a broker to get consistent back hauls ,they just don't fall out of the sky . When my truck broke down I had a rv that needed to get out of the yard in Fort Worth by certain date so I called a broker who charged me I think about $75 for himself and the driver got paid I think was $1400 or $1600 for a 1200 mile run from Fort Worth to Phoenix which is just over a dollar a mile. So this guy thinks he'll get $2 per mile is a pipe dream and he will never do that without a broker.

so, a longer break down of my previous comment. for reference, I am on otr car hauler, been trucking almost 13 years now. fyi, post trips can be flagged on duty, not off. but doesn't have to any length of time. ok, so the break down. 30k in 30 days, using your 6 days off for resets, that's 24 days of working. You need to gross 1250 per day for 6 days totaling 7500 gross a week, do that 4 times and you have 30k. to break that down in time 15 min pre trip a day, 15 min fuel a day, add an extra 30 min for traffic and 10.25 driving (for those adding that's 11.25 hrs a day) which is roughly 697 miles at 68mph. do that 6 days a week plus 2 hours for your 30 min load and 30 min unload twice a week and you get 69.5 hours in 6 days. it's not impossible or hard if the rates are there, you just can't be lazy, pick the wrong loads and make videos when you should be driving down the road.
@bigone2211
@bigone2211 3 месяца назад
The whole point is that it’s impossible to do because there are not any back hauls from out west going to Indiana in rv transport
@bigone2211
@bigone2211 3 месяца назад
You would be better off replying to things concerning car hauling instead of rv transport two totally different things 👍
@Jeezbofriday
@Jeezbofriday 3 месяца назад
@bigone2211 I can speak on anything. It's simply math. And again, he asked the question on whether you could or not. He didn't say you could. The math proves you can. And if you're in the flatbed division or tow and haul, it would be even easier. I've been paid by mile, by % of load and hourly. So I'm very familiar with all pay types and how to make money in a 70 hour week. Most people won't make 30k in 30 days because they lack a good work ethic or are lazy.
@bigone2211
@bigone2211 3 месяца назад
It has nothing to do with math the fact is in rv transport it can’t be done. You don’t even know what the current rate is that’s the most important part of the math equation. Put your calculator away and keep hauling cars.
@Jeezbofriday
@Jeezbofriday 3 месяца назад
@bigone2211 I can read, the rates are on the websites. Maybe you should educate yourself or work somewhere else.

Can you take Home to thousand a week after all expenses 12 months out of the year?
@joey6223
@joey6223 2 месяца назад
I am a transporter, and I'll answer this for you (without considering any backhauls because there basically aren't any). You can legally manage to run 2k loaded miles per week. Rates are about $1.75/mile on average. With the fuel discount, and, averaging 10 mpg.....the cost to run each loaded mile is appx. .31/mile. At 20 mpg on the return trip, the fuel cost is .15/mile. So: 1.75-.31-.15= $1.29 per mile gross profit. $1.29×2000 miles= $2580. This number is only calculating the amount paid minus the fuel expenses. I'm not calculating anything else because all other expenses are wildly variable.....vehicle payments, repairs, food, lodging or not......So, all you can actually look at is the rate minus the fuel costs and the rest is just according to each individual situation and his or her needs and luck. Think of it like this: you will basically have 65 hours out of the 70 that you can legally drive in a week. 65 hours x 62 mph average speed is 4030 (2015 loaded) miles. That's how I calculated the 2000 miles, and this is very accurate. Some trips you can average 65 mph for the week, like trips going west and you can do a bit better on the trip pay minus fuel expenses. But for me, 62 mph is the average and I'm not poking around but I'm also not aggressive. I could average 64, but it's not worth it with the lowered fuel economy and the extra stress. There are some slow times, but you could easily do the $2580 for 45 weeks. That would come out to $116k/year before any truck payments, insurance, maintenance and repair, etc. costs. So, I've just told you what no one on any of these videos has ever told anyone.........for whatever reason...lol

I have a lot of respect for you and appreciate your service to this country...but I am not sure we both watched the same video. In the "30 in 30" video they NEVER claimed they or any one else could actually make 30K in 30 days in RV Transport -- they simply said they were going to try. They also said MANY times that they were not sure it was possible...and their goal was to BILL the company they were leased to 30K. They also made it perfectly clear that they knew they would never actually pocket 30K. As someone thinking about getting into the business I appreciate the fact they transparent with what the get paid per haul and what they actually make after expenses.
@Jeezbofriday
@Jeezbofriday 3 месяца назад
forgot to mention that 697 a day for 6 days is 4182 miles a week. which also corrects my previous 1.88 per miles, it's actually 1.79 average. so you could go out at 2 bucks a mile and come back for less, doesn't always need to be top dollar both ways to make the numbers work.
@Jeezbofriday
@Jeezbofriday 3 месяца назад

Sorry. Me again, forgot to mention one more thing, if they are both there, loading, and both doing things, 15 to 20 mins isn't unreasonable. Just because it takes you a long time doesn't mean it does everybody, and as a driver who loads and unloads cars for a living and did flatbed for 10 years before this I know for a fact not everyone moves the same.
