If anyone's stuck on "There are Two Errors in the the Title of This Book", the first one is "the the". The second one is stating that there are two errors, while there is only one, which creates a paradox by infinitely confirming and disproving itself.

one of my mother's friends legally changed her name (from a somewhat common finnish name to another), because she didn't feel like she was quite the same person anymore. honoring the change within herself with a new name! i think that's really great, since humans are often afraid of change. being able to name yourself is part of your human autonomy! i think it's just excellent.

I've watched this video hundreds of times and somehow thought until just this very moment that Micheal didn't mean a doppelganger went to Singapore and he didn't. I Literally thought that someone who looked exactly like micheal took pictures and videos from Singapore and Micheal was trying to fool us into thinking it was himself not some lookalike.

I just accidentally learned why the word for apple in Dutch actually makes sense. The Dutch word is sinaasappel. Though they call the color orange oranje. I thought that was weird and hadn't investigated it yet. So thanks for the help!

My favorite misnomer is French Fries. The reason they're called that is that British and American soldiers fighting in the First World War were given a lot of fried fries. Now, they were fighting in Belgium and those fries came from Belgium, but given that everyone in the area of Belgium they were in spoke french, they thought they were In France, and named the fries after the french.
