India's success started from Miss Universe 1992 with Madhu Sapre being so confident and poised on stage. She didn't have any supermodel to look up to in India when she competed for Miss Universe but today also many look up to her. Even the gorgeous former Miss Universe from India Lara Dutta once told in her interview that Madhu happens to be one of her mentor's she looks up to.
After Namibia had attained its independence in 1990 , 2 years later our very own Michelle McClean Bailey representing Namibia won Miss Universe 1992 . This was so wholesome and beautiful as Namibia is such a small country .
@@Beckisha22 Ok. That makes more sense. And it seems that not much regarding country population has changed there since Michelle's interview at the MU 1992.
OHHhh GOSHH!!! - I Remember Replaying & REPLAYING This ENTIRE Pagent, OVER & Over, on my Dad's VHS player, after he Recorded it all, & can STILL QUOTE 95% of EVERYTHING IN/OF this ENTIRE Pagent!!!! 😣😣😆😆😆💓💓💓
Colombia was so charming and radiated an unassuming sweetness. Namibia was very poised but she stuttered in the final answer. Venezuela was very smug and over confident. India was not Miss Universe material nor was Miss Belgium who looked like a playboy bunny. Her look was not for Miss Universe. Netherlands was sweet but just average. New Zealand and Sweden did not belong in that group. Australia had beautiful hair and beautiful eyes. She was severely underscored. USA laid an egg here. Her interview was horrible.
This pageant was held in the morning so it could be broadcast live in prime time in the western hemisphere. 3:40 looks like Leeza Gibbons was doing a lot of partying the previous evening. Her face seems all puffy.
Ha ha! Actually she just had a baby, which may have caused puffiness in her face. Sometimes the face is one of the last things to rid itself of puffiness during a pregnancy.
Congratulations Miss Namibia Michelle McLean Miss Universe 1992. Binibining Pilipinas - Universe 1992, Elizabeth Berroya was seen from opening to top 10 announcement to crowning. She gave her all, a rightful representative of the Philippines!
It’s obvious that Carolina is so over-confident that her limited English worked against her, she should’ve availed her interpreter if she couldn’t express herself well in English. JMHO.
@@marcusvonhohenlohe I don't think so just because Carolina still scored high in the interview placing in second place just right after Colombia. She did well in her interview despite the little glitch with a missing word, she handled it gracefully. My comment is about her mother whose body language caught my eye.
@@PungiFungiagree. Venezuela’s stage presence is incredible and she led all the competitions in the prelims and semifinals (except semifinal interview). I think she should’ve made the top 3 over Miss Colombia. The latter’s answer was actually not as well delivered as Carolina’s answer. If Venezuela made the top 3, she may have won over Namibia.
Who would've thought that a familiar scene took place in the Land of Smiles 26 years later? Namibia's Michelle McLean finished in the Top 5 in an U.S. soil edition Miss World back in 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia which was won by a Latina in Venezuela's Ninibeth Leal. McLean went on to win Miss Universe 1992 in Bangkok. 26 years later, the Philippines' Catriona Gray won Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok after finishing in the Top 5 in an U.S. soil edition Miss World in 2016 in MGM National Harbor, Maryland which was won by a Latina in Puerto Rico's Stephanie del Valle. What's crazier is that McLean was part of the judging panel when Catriona won Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok.
Venezuela is so beautiful and had the IT factor! Although the country has won 3 times since 1991, I wouldn’t mind seeing Carolina become Venezuela’s fourth winner! Oh well. Based on the top 6 question, Venezuela’s answer was better than Colombia’s imo. Colombia was a little nervous and didn’t deliver as well.
He dicho esto en el pasado pero si se fijan bien podrán ver un error de la producción;si notan la presentación de Finland y ven la cajita derecha del Evening Gown no es ella realmente! quien es en realidad?bueno en realidad es Miss El Salvador.
Of the top three it should have been colombia the winner it down to the last question really cause the best track record was venezuela except for her last asnwer where she placed fourth thus not putting her in the top three eventhough she had the best ss and evening gown score .. last question none really shone, namibia was just the better articulated but her track during the competition wasnt as good as colombia or venezuela, it was a lucky strike not really deserving crown .
Ms Venezuela is so over-confident that her Q&A’s worked against her. She’s somewhat at a loss for words at times that her being fluent in English is just a put-on. She should’ve answered in Spanish instead.
@@marcusvonhohenloheBut we are not talking about over-confidence here, we are talking about beauty. Furthermore, notice that Miss Venezuela good the second place in the personal interview, just after Miss Colombia. What happened is there was favoritism for Miss Namibia.
Cuanto fanatismo ??? Todas se quejan que hubo trampa. Y el gentilicio venezolano que les robaron ? Uupp increíble mentalidad , para un concurso ? Y la realidad 👀 , a explorar el mundo increíble .
