Miss Universe Philippines Speaks Out About Pageant Mix-up 

Why would they share the crown? I don't even know why that's a question. Colombia did not win, the crown was never hers.

Why the fuck would they share the crown when in fact Miss Philippines was the real winner? I know Miss Colombia was devastated and all that, but still?

As a Colombian I was fucking happy when Miss Colombia won and then I was angry when Steve said she was the runner up. I don't think they should share the crown because Miss Philippines was the winner, not Miss Colombia, even though I'd like her to be.

This whole situation really shows how undeserving Colombia was of the title. Her attitude towards the mistake is that the world owes her something because she was embarrassed, she needs to get over herself. I don't follow Miss Universe at all since the idea of beauty pageants disgusts me, but the more I hear and see of Pia the more I fall in love with her. She is so much more than outer beauty. She's intelligent, kind, generous and humble. She's been a class act throughout all of this. She's using her voice to raise awareness and make a real difference in the world. As for Miss Colombia, the more I hear and see of her the more disappointed I am. If she had been more gracious about this whole mess and showed class the way Pia did, people would admire that. I've tried to put myself in her shoes and I understand her immediate reaction seeing as how humiliating this must've been for her, but her behaviour after the fact up until now tells me she has a hard time accepting this and moving on. She sounds very bitter and her fellow Colombians and most of the other contestants have been extremely rude to Pia who did absolutely NOTHING wrong. Even Steve Harvey deserves forgiveness for this terrible mistake.

I really dislike how people are being so salty that Pia won and treating her like she stole it from Colombia or something. She was ALWAYS the winner. If Steve never flubbed the results, this would've been the result anyway. The fact that Colombia says she deserves to share the crown speaks volumes about her--if she's willing to get that title because of pity and not because she truly earned it herself, then she doesn't deserve it. I would feel like a fake if I got crowned co-winner just because someone accidentally announced my name. Plus, it would be so unfair to the actual winner, who won it fair and square but had to share it anyway.

As a Colombian, I can say that even though there was a mistake, Ms. Colombia never won in the first place as miss universe, so why should she be able to share the crown? That would simply be like trying to pacify an angry 5- year old who lost his first race. It's nonsensical. Along with that, miss Philippines seems a lot more gracious and less superficial than Colombia, which in my mind, means she deserves that crown more.

She actually has so many fans due to her authenticity and unconventional beauty, it's just that her bashers are, as expected, desperately louder. The crown looked made especially for her, that gown is iconic, and that answer was one of the most memorable and most quoted in the pageant history. Confidently beautiful with a heart INDEED.

I don't know about the others but I think Ms Philippines is prettier than Ms Colombia. As an Asian we like our girls to have soft and womanly looks. Latinas are over confident about their beauty and thinks they are the most beautiful races in the world. I may agree but that is only applicable for Latino Men. Latinas (women) have stong masculine feature (look at Ariadna) or Sofia Vergara which makes them look like a man dressed up as a girl.

Just because she was humiliated, doesn't mean that she gets the right to take a share of the crown. Obviously Miss Philippines deserved it, not Columbia. Columbia did not win Miss Universe.
