@@shilohwhiloh9636 Just goofin', Abs being a controversial character that was how did I heard? mistreated? badly hated but overly protected? well the game has generated debate but I'm aware that overall The Last of Us series has become excessively overrated
@@earlysteven123 before I played it I thought the game was dog shit then I actually played it and I had alot of fun with it. Even in the abby section of the game I had fun with it. Of course I'd never pick Abby over ellie but I still had fun playing it
@@cambrysanchez2804 I haven't finished the game yet but I heard Ellie loses 2 fingers so I'm assuming that happened at sea lol (that account's full name is "ellie's fingers at the bottom of the sea")
This game has by far the most realistic NPC companions in all of gaming. They behave, checking things out in the environment commenting on stuff around them without your prompting, they kill enemies, you can manually select how powerful they are in combat, in stealth encounters they can get spotted but they actually stealth with you, hiding from enemies like you have to. Even in newer AAA games like Forbidden West they don’t do the stealth thing properly.
there's a quick, cute moment when they're about to get out of the tunnels where Dina goes "Babe...I'm really tired." and Ellie responds "Yeah, let's get out of here" or something like that
I’ll always miss the feeling these games gives me the first time I played. I hope there’ll be a 3rd one that I can play in 7 years time. Easily my favorite game.
@@jase276 Druckman wasn't the issue, infact he told the story realistically. In stead of focusing on the plot, he focused on the characters. You see, what I think the issue is, is that people don't like the drastic change from TLOU1 to TLOU2 and it's realistic personality to not only the story, but our characters.
@@towel2043 you didn't ask me, but i think i like them both equally for different reasons. ellie's feels emotionally darker so storywise it's more my thing, but abby has some really fun parts too, like the descent down through the hotel and the hospital.
I wish I could play this game for the first time again. Idk how some people hate the story so much; an exploration of Ellie’s complex relationship with Joel is everything I could’ve asked for
i really thought i found every single elliedina interaction in this game, but apparently i haven't. thank you for this video, doing the lord's work!! edit: 12:12 very rude of matthew mercer to just interrupt them
I want a DLC about the journey to Seattle. Only get to read about it in Ellie’s journal, but figure it would focus a lot on developing their relationship.
I guess winter isn't exactly her style, but on the flip side by hiw green the leaves are in the season compared to the other timing(or the lighting fooled me), the peaceful/happy parts could be in near the summer.
Oh my sweet summer child! The glitch at 14:26 😂😂🤣🤣 I love in the snowball fight when Ellie goes "Oh no, you got snow in your hair" so sarcastically. Or the bit where she comments she has snow in her shirt. "Dina! I'm here. I'm here near all the fucking snow!" - Oh, ya, cos she's gonna know exactly where you are, you pleb 😂😭 Oh, man, I much prefer "It's probably a sex den", not "It's probably a giant TV..." It's interesting that if you go to the Synagogue first, then the gas is in the parking garage and if you go to the parking garage first, then the gas is in the Synagogue!
4:58 Pls the way Ellie's face basically just bumps straight into the truck, and then the way she basically just throws the rope on the floor 😭 Ik this isn't even meant to be funny but I can't stop laughing lmfaoo
That snowball fight at the beginning is the only moment of levity in this whole miserable game. Yeah you can say the farm is aswell, but the previous scene is Ellie getting her face smashed in by Abbie, so it feels like a hollow victory.
@@EonServoXA I meant, excluding flashbacks, because they aren't relevant to the rest of the story, at least not to me, but if you include the flashbacks with Joel, then yes, they are absolutely moments of levity.
@@TheFightingMan101 not relevant to the story for you? Then I’m sorry to inform you my old friend that you are not reading it correctly, they are a crucial point of how ellie and joel had their absolute high and their absolute low, also shows how abby, like ellie, lost love and loved ones because of her obsession, and just builds so much for the characters in the present, game would be hollow without them, story too
@@aristonaragao3171 it reinforces what I already know, that's why. I played the first game, and I already know that they care about eachother, showing me a flashback of them being happy right after something sad has happened in real time doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if the flashback scenes weren't flashbacks, but the whole game was focused around the time period of these flashbacks, that would've been better.
@@TheFightingMan101 what about abby? Did you know that other side of her? Absolutely not, it was necessary, and even Ellie’s flashbacks, shows to us that she did find out about Joel’s lie, that they spent years never talking to each other, and a hundred more important things, all these do absolutely matter for the story
You have to go to the underground garage thing first and try and get the gas (it'll be empty) then when you go to the dome shape building you should hear it :)
the second one with 3 people talking about Ellie and saying "shh here she comes" what were they talking about does anyone know? like was it about her being immune or from the party?
