i wish they’ll add something like this to the game, combat is really bland in the game and i hope they’ll understand that they have great potential for a combat side of the game, if the missiles and weapons are too much they can add a option to disable weapons or limit the amount of each weapon
I hope the devs add something like this. Dogfights in Trailmakers kinda suck mainly because you have to have a plane with an unnecessary amount of guns on your plane to hit anything, so adding the option to have some sort of tracking missiles would be great. But I could also see the devs side on how these missiles could crowd public servers and make them laggy. The missiles could also be really annoying if someone keeps spamming the mand doesn’t let you do anything. Very informative video and cool video👍
@@llamazing4326 The new update was actually great for dogfighting with guns. It made it easier to hit players so you could have quick and fun dogfights. In my opinion though the missiles were cool against AI but are lacking in actual pvp. What could’ve been added in addition could’ve been a logic piece that would potentially track the seat of a creation or something. It could do this by linking it to the hinges or flap blocked you want. Then the logic block itself would use the control surfaces you provided/connected it to, to follow said creations. But overall very good update.
I built a decent rocket artillery vehicle. It really helps for those OP manned turrets I keep coming across. The only thing that bugs me is that building a missile which can target and steer takes a lot of blocks to make it look cool... Im going to experiment more with rockets but im giving up on missiles for now.
Bruh Rare was able to do this in 2008 on the Xbox360 in their Banjo and Kazooie spin off game why can't Flashbulb manage interesting balanced vehicle combat on PC or next gen equipment
Honestly I wish trailmakers dogfights were back before the airborne update. It’s just so boring bc unskilled spammers just annoy when in dogfights bc it doesn’t even take skill to win a dogfight now. And the only good thing I can take away is the rockets, but still they’re kinda mid. I sometimes wish they’ll add an ACTUAL guided missle for long range combat. And I understand why they probably won’t, bc it could lag servers, but to be fair almost every server is laggy as hell. But if I were them i would make a missle launcher that tracked slightly, not completely so it wouldn’t be OP. And the lock for it would be much further. AND on top of that they could add a form of flares and maybe a radar for long range combat. I know that’s a lot to ask for but that’s what I think.
how about a universal tracker block that could be set up to track heat signatures, players or other things. it would be shaped like the leaked camera blok exept it would be 1x1. i went into it more in depth talking about other features and how it would exactly work in the discord server but i got told many times that the devs just wont add it. i still think its a good idea that could be used not just for missles but other veichles
same i explained that combat would be a great addition to the game and i was told that “this isn’t a combat game” or “most people in the community don’t want combat “
Something I don’t believe you considered is the remote control system the game already (accidentally) has. I have made on my own Chanel a number of videos showing off antiship missiles, which could hypothetically be used as anti aircraft missiles but the difficulty of guiding them is a big stumbling block, though there is hope as the devs are planning on adding a camera block into the game, meaning that if you can put that on a missile you could easily guide it into a plane though it would still be about the size of a small plane.
Two small changes to the distance sensors would fix everything.. 1. make them only detect players and player placed blocks not any of the map assets 2. Make the distance further.. maybe 100-150 would be nice and make it so we can set distance cutoff so say the detection starts 1-150 so we can set them begind craft structure and protect them beter
not possible anymore, it used modded game files which was agianst the terms of service and the devs have encrypted the dll files so modding them has basically become impossible. For good reason though.
