Fabricate new pieces CHEAP with a hot glue gun! This works for casting big, small, decorative, onlays, missing & broken CAN be duplicated. THIS IS FOR PAINTED FURNITURE ONLY. If you are missing parts or have broken parts, you can DIY fix with this new technique it as long as you have a part left to duplicate. Love this! Thank you for the cheaper version of making molds! All the other videos I've seen use a $20 product. If you only need it for one small repair that's a lot of money! Thank you thank you

This is perfect for what I need. Husband came to ask if I could make a mild for a piece of trim and said I cou!d. But I like to savvy when it comes to DIY projects and new their was a cheaper way to do this is than all the resin stuff you have To buy. Love it Not Glue Gun and Paper Clay. Just need the clay.

This is exactly what I needed to see and I have car bondo. I also got the idea to use tape to act as a side. I have a broken desk leg and a few other pieces. I’m glad I found this video! Amazing job!

This video was very helpful. Thanks so much. I have a vanity mirror that is missing a carving on one side. If I make a mold, wouldn't I have to flip it over and then I'd have the flat side showing instead of the carved that I want?

Yes you would have the wrong piece. Unfortunately if there is only one piece remaining and the two pieces are not identical as in right side/left side, you will need a different option. I would look at silicone molds or scrolls that will cover up the details of both pieces., trace the existing piece and cut another for the other side (or make a mold) and cover both sides with decorative scrolls/roses/whatever you like.

Hi, how long will it takes before you can remove the hot glue to use as a mold? Can we also use DAP instead of Bondo? Thank you

Do you think that the Pam would "stain" regular wood?

If the wood is sealed well, it should not stain it. You should be able to wipe it off. I recommend testing an area on the wood that is underneath or out of sight if you have the slightest doubt. You could also use furniture wax instead of Pam or even olive oil would work.

Paper clay? I’m not familiar with that product.
