Rather than say "this angle...that angle" you should name the angles when you refer to them "angle T" and "angle A". This I learned from teaching a blind student in my Geometry class. It makes it easier for all students to follow.
Basically all u need to do is , look at 2 corresponding angles then take the bigger side and divide it by the smaller one in this case it was 9÷3=3 so ur scale factor is 3 then to find 'x' u need to look at the corresponding angle of x in the smaller shape which in this case was four then, since it's smaller shape to bigger u need to multiply the scale factor by 4 and we get 12 that's all
ty this video helped me soo much and am pretty sure half of my class will whatch this video as our teacher dosent know how to explain all she does is memorize the answer and come write in the board .
This actually helped me quite a lot, and I'm so thankful to Papa that I found your video here. I get confused sometimes on how proportions are supposed to be set up, because there would be times I'd find two sides that I thought corresponded and then they didn't... or they did and I set up the proportion wrong. Either way, thank you!
Because 4 is the cross product number. See the 4 at the bottom of the smaller triangle? We don’t have a similarity for that so we divide by that number to get the answer.
