yes the State has developed and named them as two separate projects but it is true that its really all the same interchange (295 crossing 42/76, and being able to drive from any of those 4 road directions and get to any of the other roads)

295 North. Currently it serves traffic from three roads traveling from: lower 295 north, 76 South (from Camden/Philly) AND Route 42 North. Once the overhead roadway is completed this tunnel will only be for 76S-to-295N... as the core 295 traffic and 42N traffic will be on the overhead roadway already (where the collapse is)

You are stating that it is a billion dollar project. However, when reading articles at the beginning of the project, they state it is a 180 million dollar, 7 year project. So what? We are 800 million and 7 years over budget and timeline?
Nice update...A tip...You need to change the color of your pointer arrow that you use your mouse to control! It needs to be bigger and color added so we can follow it...It gets hard to see the black and white arrow on black and white blueprints! Just a thought! Keep up the good work!

I think I wrote about it recently. It’s still coming. They say they don’t have all the approvals yet. But i think they aspire just slow rolling the development. Every is so focused on this one… but there are several in a wait state. I hope to see some real development action this year.
Umm, It takes cars off of the roads like Black horse pike, ALL of the roads going by the Deptford mall which is a damn mess. Cars no longer have to get off in Woodbury and pass through Deptford to get on the AC expy to go to A/C or Wash Twp, Williamstown Etc. It sure as hell will help. Don't hand me the BS you hear about everytime the widen a hwy it just makes more people use it. Okay!!! That is a crock of crap! Take a look up the MArquette interchange in Milwaukee. Took just 5 years to build, and it alleviated traffic. If done correctly, it sure does work. Simply widening a road does not work when the same onramp and offramps that get backed up are kept in place. Look at all the new onramps and off ramps connecting the roads i Milwaukie, which is a metro a fraction of the size of what we are. yet even with this project we are a disgracefull 50 years behind everyone else. . It only took them 5 years and is a much larger project than this mess he that is at 10 years now with no damn end in site. Nj is a disgrace1 And the leadership of this crap should be embarrassed! Go ahead, Look up the Marquette interchange in Milwaukee. And look of the 26 lane hwy in Houston that also took just 5 years.
And another thing. The fools who make statements about people using the roads more when they are widened are morons. Yes, there is more traffic than there was in the past. that isn't because they widened the roads. That is because the population of the USE has doubled in the last 50 years. So yes, the traffic should be double what it was 50 years ago as well. And even more since households in the past had one vehicle on average, and today they have 2 or 3 on average. Again, the population grows, the traffic grows with it. The traffic doesn't grow because the road is widened. the road is widened because the traffic has been growing. So spare me the idiots who are against evrything and think they know it all. If anything, the price of gasoline will dictate more or less traffic. The size of the road will not.If you have to be somewhere, you have to be somewhere.
Was wondering when we would get an update. The 295/42 on off ramp project seems to be moving ahead quickly. Would love for it to be done by Oct 2023,heading to Disney and it would save at least 15min.
Moving ahead quickly? Are you thid guys buddy or something. This project started 10 YEARS AGO!!! It was supposed to take 7 years and no more than 9 yers with unexpectect issues! It will not be completed for at least 4 more years they say. So more like 10. Even at 4 more years it will be a 14 years project!!! That is not moving along quickly. That is a DISGRACE!!!!!! Yeah, keep paying the outrageous taxes in this liberal bastion, and don't complain about them if you are going to praise this disgraceful mess!

Try to understand what you're commenting on before making a smartass remark.

If only they connect Benigno Blvd to the new on ramp of 42 North to 295 South (around 39.8593409, -75.0981543) It seems possible and it would be nice to have access to both 295 North and South directly from Benigno blvd. This would be easy also for the turnpike and industrial park. Maybe the engineers considered it, but after conducting traffic studies, they concluded the ramp can't smoothly have all that traffic on it. Just a thought.
