@@aashokkumargoswami7327 in a way it was an awesome way to guy, Hunley forced Walker to use a knife to win meaning Hunley a man who hasn’t seen fieldwork in decades could’ve beaten The CIA’s top assassin
"Hunt is uniquely training and highly motivated. A specialist without equal, immune to any countermeasures. There is no secret he cannot extract, no security he cannot breach, no person he cannot become. He has, most likely, anticipated this very conversation and is waiting to strike in whatever direction we move. Sir, Hunt is the living manifestation of destiny, and he has made you, his mission." Hunt be like "I appreciate the kindness sir."
“Hunt is the living manifestation of destiny…and he has made you his mission” One of the most menacing lines I’ve ever heard. Seriously though he’s right. Ethan Hunt is one of the most dangerous movie characters of all time
And has clearly predicted what will and needs to be said : The fact Ilsa was framed by Atlee, and has disappeared exactly 2 years ago, to approve the Syndicate was supposed to be an exercise. I still would want to know how he extracted this MI6 intelligence, but alright "no secret he cannot extract".
I love it. Hunley tries to outsmart Ethan by keeping the PM in the room, imagining that Hunt knows they’re there and is waiting to strike. And of course not realizing that Hunt is so skilled at understanding people that he knew Hunley would do this and as such put himself in the one place Hunley would never expect him to be… all this of course AFTER tricking the PM into implicating Atlee and confirming the Syndicate isn’t just a myth. Easily the best scene in the entire series.
The writer is also the director, Christopher McQuarrie. He's also written and directed Fallout, and he co-wrote movies like The Usual Suspects, Edge of Tomorrow and Top Gun: Maverick. So yeah, the guy's a genius.
@@geometrydashiuppiter6910 that line in usual suspects " the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist" is cold af 🥶
Brandt: When the Prime Minister found out about the Syndicate, Atley attacked him. Prime Minister: Yes, that's true. Brandt: And then you saved the Prime Minister, sir. Prime Minister: Did he? I'm very grateful. That's one way to have an important figure give praise and thanks.
Yeah they kinda tranqed me, but I don't blame them at all. Saved my legacy, possibly the modern world, my life AND removed rubbish from my administration. Thank you kindly, Alan Hunley.
@@dankmeme682 I think it wasn't a tranquilliser but rather truth serum. Were it a tranquilliser dart, I'm sure the Prime Minister would still be conscious in his mind, and refuse to pronounce the pass-phrase to unlock the red box.
@@dankmeme682 Why would he blame them? It was Atlee who shot him. 😉😉 In any case, Director Hunley saving the Prime Minister is a boost to US-UK relations. 😉
@@tonybaihao4178 the tone is what I meant. I’m British so the accent means little to me it was the tone that shows then syndicate is real and the PM knows it.
Honestly this is my favorite scene in the movie. How the prime minister knew what the syndicate was and that he had rejected it, Hunt revealing himself, and Hunley finally seeing the IMF in action. Brilliantly executed :)
“Immune to any countermeasures” one of the best discriptions in any movie, TV show, book, comic book, and any other form of media or story telling I’ve ever heard, ever. What’s even more ridiculous, is Hunt was right there the whole time, and was the first to call the prime minister, right after Director Hunley gave that description. Sorry folks, no directors or writers can compare to this one.
@@User-rf3iq Really? You thought Baldwin's acting in this movie was "horrible"? Hmmm. I loath Alec Baldwin as a person, but even I admit that he did a great job here. He is a good actor and his facial expression (the subtle changes showing his realization and decision) were very well done.
the most badass scene I've ever watched and this has to be the biggest plot twist of all time (tom revealing himself). The first time I watched it, my jaw dropped down to the floor. This is my favorite scene of all time.
The mask reveal is definitely my favorite scene of all six films so far. It’s so awesome - especially the music! I’m so excited for Dead Reckoning Part One!
Besides the awesomeness that is Hunt, I really like this scene because of the Prime Minister. It may be because the first two roles I saw Tom Hollander play he was a bloodthirsty, power-hungry psycho (Cutler Beckett in Pirates of the Caribbean) and a spineless ambitious git (Minister Simon Foster from In the Loop). So it was rather surprising and nice seeing Hollander play a reasonable authority figure with morals and fortitude who rejected authoritarian powers and showed a willingness to go after those who tried to do it anyway and "help" the IMF. Plus his antics while drugged were hilarious (particularly because he's letting Brandt to finally seduce the rich guy ;) )
Then you'll love him as the mole in "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse." Especially since the latter two are voiced by Idris Elba and Gabriel Byrne, respectively.
Hunley's monologue about Ethan Hunt is very memorable. It shows Ethan's resilience but also shows that Hunley is afraid of what he can do. But that's the thing about Ethan. You can either fear him, or put your faith in him.
“We know you created the Syndicate, but Lane went rogue and turned it against you,and you’ve been desperately trying to cover it up;that’s why you erased the disc when she brought it to you.”-Ethan Hunt, the living manifestation of destiny.
1:58 this is why I think Syndicate is better than Spectre....I mean it has an origin and really make sense...like how Blofeld created Spectre, an organisation that controlling the world from behind by his own?
And also why Rogue Nation is better than Spectre movie...in the beginning of the movie...Ethan found out about Syndicate and then it cuts to 6 months period....not like James Bond movie...how a singular guy just found out about Spectre then destroyed it just like that?
I really hate how they interpreted Blofeld in Daniel Craig's movies. He would've worked fine on his own as James Bond's nemesis but then they just have to go and add the very unnecessary shared backstory between the two, which leads to the implication that Blofeld turned out to be a criminal mastermind and created a global terrorist organization that committed heinous acts worldwide...just to get back at his adopted brother? That's just silly as hell xD.
I have to admit ive never watched a mission impossible film only scene a few clips including this one but i burst out laughing when cruise pulled a face off thinking OFFS LOL
when director Hunly had the shock ofhis lifetime audiencealsofeltsame. The best surprised episode of entire MI series..when chief Atlee removed his mask, not only Baldwin, but audience also had the shock of their lifetime.
After Ethan hands Hunley the gun and he nods at Ethan it would have been cool for Ethan to say “nice to finally meet your in person, mr Hunley” Has a double meaning, beginning of a partnership and a joke, since Hunley was after Hunt for 6 months and never came close to him.
Best scene of the movie. I was never into IM/spy shows, but Tom Cruise made me LOVE this shit! I have never seen a franchise where EVERY movie is better than its predecessor. I've been a Tom fan for years. He is an absolute favorite and I love his films, but this? This is his masterpiece, his magnum opus, and I will mourn the day that he completes the final chapter.
Ethan Hunt is the living manifestation of destiny John Wick is the man of focus, committment and sheer effing will Those two legends must face each other one day!
It's not sarcasm. The PM really believes it. They seem to be under the influence of truth serum / suggestibility drug, so they can gaslight the PM into believing Hunt was never there and it was Atlee acting alone
