Hey Rich, first i'd like to say this series videos have helped me wrestle the script monster that is arma 3 successfully and for that I am very grateful. Anyway maybe your arma science can help me one more time! I had hopes this video would help me but this is above and beyond what I am after. Interestingly enough this particular topic doesn't seem to have been answered when I searched online. Anyway here it is: I am working on an MP mission where I as a gamemaster want via a trigger to teleport once specific groups of players (that are already connected on the server) to specific AI piloted planes. Until that trigger is fired those planes are under the hide module but once its fired the planes are activated via the show module. Just like you I think a fade to black while the teleport happens would be an elegant way to get rid of any lag or jerkiness. variable names for groups of player is group1, group2, group3 variable names for players p1, p2 etc... variable names for planes plane1, plane2 group1 to be teleported in plane1 I tried an init line group1 MoveInCargo plane1 in the init but I feel that might not function in MP. How would you go around to do it? If you know of course :-)

I can see this one causing a lot of problems:) I'm not a whiz at scripts but I would use the trigger to call a SQF file with the moveincargo commands in there. Create a SQF with the lines p1 moveInCargo plane1; p2 moveInCargo plane1; And so on. Make sure the trigger is server only. In triggers onact field put nul = execVM "movetoplane.sqf"; (or whatever you call it.) This may work (but its arma) and there could be an issue with JIP players. Let me know if that works!

Wow finished it. I like the fact the way you handle mission making so calmly and professional and great job. It's got the creative juices flowing, so much so I've almost completed three missions. My first two are using the AH-64D Apache Official Project mod and the last one (trying out different ideas), SCP style mission. 10/10

Feel like you should get a medal for making it through all four. There's a lot there! We hope to make some shorter mission tutorials. Wrapping up our anniversary video right now. Love your mission ideas, let us know if you gat any video of them!

@@1AAFilms lol, no it was a joy to watch and the music was great too, very relaxing. But's it's really kicked started my love of mission making again, so thank you for that. I love the AH-64D Apache so that's why I've concentrated on that mod. I also love the SCP. The mission I'm making for that one is between 10-15 minutes. It's a test mission to see what I can do with the editor. I'll let you know asap when it's completed. Cheers :)

Hey Rich. Thanks for doing this series, I found it really helpful in making my first ever ArmA mission. I would love to see some video of the actual mission playing out - that would be awesome! :)

Glen, Thank you for the kind words and most of all, congrats on the mission!!! There's something special when you finish that first mission, well done! Currently working on our anniversary video but will absolutely edit down that mission and maybe even do a side by side to show what was placed in the mission and what it looked like in game:) Let us know if you want something like this mission making video again or shorter segments.

I’d love to be able to join up, but I can’t make the time, especially with the timezone difference vs here in Australia. Anyway, thanks again - I really appreciate it!

Hey Rich, enjoy watching the videos, always great to see how other make missions. Something I saw that you might want to try for future missions, instead of having to name all the vehicles and place code in their final waypoint, just put {{deleteVehicle _x} foreach crew _x; deleteVehicle _x} foreach thislist in the triggers at the end of their path, that way any OPFOR vehicle that enters the trigger will delete along with their crew. Thanks again for the video, would be great to see one based on your philosophies for making missions. Ie instead of how to, more why, and what you're trying to achieve. Always find that interesting. What I used in the mission was overkill. I had that (your) code handy but wasn't sure if it worked. Glad to know it does. That mission was overkill for deleting vehicles though :) I can absolutely bring together a video with how I plan and tweak a mission idea! Thanks for the idea!

Rich, how do u set the respawns in such a way that they spawn directly into their characters at mission start and the respawn timer not to apply then but only if they respawn the second time?
