Your review solidified my desire to own this bow. I went out and bought it today, and I can say it's an incredible bow for the price. Thanks for the work you do!
I’m sure you have lots of other things to test and review besides a mid level bow, but this is in the top of my list. I’m just getting back into archery and this bow fits my budget. I’d really appreciate some content on adjusting and tuning along with some Broadhead testing. Thanks for all the great videos.
This is a very nice bow, regardless of the price point. I do need to get some other arrows fletched up and start experimenting with broadhead flight. Once I get the new arrows in, I'll get on that.
I see the bow is listed at 40-70 draw weight and 23.5 to 28.5 draw length . Are they different limbs or does the same limbs adjust from 40 -70 ? Is the draw length adjustable on the same cam or do you have to change out the cams or add or remove something to get a different draw length ?
Idk why there aren't other reviews on this bow....its a sleeper for sure. I bought the bow yesterday, and the sight that comes with it. Added a longer stabilizer I had laying around, and this bow is a shooter for sure. Performance is better than alot of bows costing 3x as much. A bit aggressive on let down, but I like that,as it makes me concentrate on my form, so it becomes 2nd nature to me...and thats a good thing.
I have the mission ballistic. I bought it new when it first came out. Its time for a new bow and im leaning towards this one. I love the ballistic, how does it compare to this one? Thanks
I think mission bows have went the wrong direction seems cheaper and cheaper I’m sure it will get the job done but I’d take the ballistic or blaze over this bow any day of the week also had a mission voyager xt probably 1 of the best bows I ever had I’ve got a vxr now but I still wish I had that voyager bow what a shooter
@@ArcheryTalkVideo are you sure? we are talking about MXR with crosscentric system here, not the radik, hammr, and switch with fast fit cam system. I'm planning on buying MXR, but being doubtful about its DL adjustability
I am so sorry ... you are absolutely right. I just went and looked at the bow and it does require different mods for each draw length. I got it confused with the PSE Ferocity - another bow in the same price point I am going to be comparing it to. Sorry about the confusion.
It is super quiet with very minimal vibration. I'd say the Triax still wins both categories, but the MXR holds its own with most any flagship-level bow in noise and vibration. Balance is a tougher question. It holds pretty well, but I felt slightly more confident with the flagship-level bows I tested earlier in the year. It's not a huge difference, but I noticed it for sure. At some point I'll shoot some FITA-style tournament rounds with the MXR and probably the Vertix to see how the scores match up.
It's really nice. A little light on valley compared to the Mathews bows, but not beyond reason. It's really quiet, too, which I should have touched on in the video.
If the high letoff is important to you, I’m sure the Parker will work just fine. I liked the grip of the thrive better if memory serves, but I can’t say much else due to lack of quantity time behind the bows.
