Driving in Mission, Texas. Mission Has a population for 77,000 residents and is located close to the border of United States and Mexico. This town was really fun to visit!
Mission is west of McAllen not North. You drove down business 83. Turned south on Bryan Rd then made a left heading East on Expressway 83. That's my town!
the main street that runs through Mission is Conway, which you didn't travel through in the video. That's the real road that shows what Mission is really like. the video starts near by neighborhood close to that Aguilera meat market. you went through business 83 and then down bryan I believe towards Exp. 83. ages ago, business 83 in Mission was a two direction road, coming and going and had tons of business, then they changed it to the one direction road that it still is today and that road is mainly dead and old. meanwhile Mission started growing with business and restaurants towards the North side going up Conway. Not shown in the video.
When I was a little boy, back in the early 50's, we lived in McAllen. On Sunday afternoons, my dad would take us to the movies in Mission to see the B westerns which were popular at that time.
I live here, nice little border city with all the big city amenities. I was watching the whole video waiting for you to pass by the area that I live in and you did haha 😄
I love The Rio Grande Valley it's so magical also shout out to McAllen,Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Edinburg, Harlingen,Weslaco, Palm 🌴 view, San Benito,Monte Christo,S.Padre Island,Port Isabel.
tricky question. what area would you recommend that is not rich, but definitely not ghetto, fairly medium size population, fairly big size land houses, low crime and police drama and... the closest to Mcallen the better. thank you.
May I recommend New Braunfels and Canyon Lake Texas! New Braunfels is about 30 minutes north of San Antonio up IH35 and Canyon Lake is about 20 from New Braunfels. I live in San Marcos which is about 15 north of New Braunfels up IH35. Hopefully you can make it here someday!
@@triciabrite9503 YES! I have a New Braunfeks and San Marcos video both filmed but backlogged. I'll get them up soon. NB and San Marcos are awesome. I'll definitely need to get one of Canyon Lake, haven't been there since boating and floating last summer LOL
Brit Trips if you do go out to Canyon Lake, may I suggest going to the top of the dam at sun set! It’s gorgeous! You can walk across the dam. My sweet dad was the Lake Manager out there from 1986 until 2003 when he retired. He worked for the Army Corp of Engineers. He was the manager back in 1998 when the lake flooded and the water went over the spillway.
My wife convinced me that we should move hear when she retires and we did we live in a retirement place I hv a part time job and yes its in mission all I can say is I wish I didn't I dont like it but for her ill deal with it the water is horrible and you can't find a lot of things I'm used to we left green bay to call this home I'm sorry I did
Yes, the water is very hard. You can purchase water softener systems. A friend of mine has two businesses in Pharr and is always having legal issues with the city. He wants to shut them down and move them to other locations. What you looking for you cannot find? Food items?
