I'm a former Christian also. I'm in the process of studying for conversion. I was technically from what I would consider a secular Christian household we lived secular yet if asked Christianty was our faith. I had a series of hardships that brought me to where I am today. For years I believed in Hashem yet I could only integrate into a church for a short period of time. I had to rely on my belief to survive Hashem is faithful. I thank you for your testimony.

1 Corinthians 9:20-22 isn’t about deception. I’m not even a full 7 minutes into this and am already seeing through this woman’s odd conception of what a Christian is. Being born into a Christian household does not make you a Christian. All of those touting Tovia in the comments, I honestly feel bad for you. Mathew 2, Hosea 11 pictorial prophecy expressing God’s relationship between Father, and Son- the love a Father has for his children- His people. Psalms 22:16 Like a lion, my hands and my feet. Like a lion what? What does a lion do to hands and feet? Does a lion kiss hands and feet? Maybe it purrs at hands and feet? This one isn’t rocket science. Not to mention the Dead Sea scrolls render the text as “pierced”. Logically “pierced” would fit the text, I personally don’t know any friendly lions that would do otherwise. Matthew 2:23 in conjunction with Psalm 22:6-7, Isaiah 53:3 and John 1:46 Context is key, as she herself stated. If these few verses are what led her away from Christ, then I would say she didn’t know much about the Tanakh or New Testament to begin with. I'm sorry, but she seems to have more than an axe to grind. If she has converted to Judaism then let it stand at that. I do not see an ounce of compassion, love, or forgiveness in her expression or her demeanor. That says volumes to me that she desires revenge not a way to answer questions and to meet one form of logic with another or one form of truth (as Christianity understands it) with another. The only thing I see is that she might have been abused in her religion or that her husband or church might have abused her or even her family. I am sorry if that is so.

Something that is strange for me about that quote from John: According to Torah Jews are required to follow both moral and ceremonial law. Non-Jews are required to keep moral law. Christianity claims that with J everyone is exempt from ceremonial law so long as they believe in J. That means that for Jews they get an exemption from ceremonial law in return for believing in J, so that can be seen as making things easier. Non-Jews, however, are still required to keep the moral and an additional requirement to believe in J is then added, and if they don't they burn in hell for eternity. Therefor Christianity is now coming and condemning huge numbers of non-Jews to eternal damnation where according to Torah they would be perfectly square with Gd. Additionally, if J's death atones for sin and therefor you are exempt from ceremonial law, then you should also be exempt from moral law. If his sacrifice doesn't exempt you from being beholden to moral law such that if you transgress the moral law then you must repent, then it should be the same with ceremonial law which means Jews would still have to keep all of Jewish law and non-Jews would still have to keep all of the Noahide laws, but with the added requiment of having a specific belief about Mr. J. So it appears that Christianity is highly inconsistent with regards to Jews and makes things harder than before with no benefit with regard to non-Jews.

When Israel is a child, and I love him, and shall call my son out of Egypt."* (Hosea 11:1) This is exactly what it says if you remember that in biblical Hebrew, both the perfect and imperfect verb tenses can refer to the future. This IS a prophecy about the king (of) Israel Jesus, the BELOVED (Messiah "David") Son of God who will be called out of Egypt when a child. It has nothing to do with the nation of Israel as a whole and the next verse is a prophecy about the Jews who will sacrifice unto Baal. They didn't sacrifice unto Baalim when in Egypt. The son of God does not sacrifice unto Baal. i think the premise of this presentation is deceptive. changing delivery to get a consistent message across to a varied audience is not deceptive, it is effective communication. just like you packaged this presentation in English for English-speaking people, and would do it in Chinese for Chinese-speaking people. If you don't mold your presentation in a way i can understand then you are wasting your time. it would be deceptive if the christians pretended one message but really meant another. just because i may say something in two different ways doesn't mean that what i'm saying cannot be true in both cases.

You provide a very convincing argument. To me, the world is too imperfect to believe in any type of messiah.

Something that bothers me about Mattew's wording is how contribed it makes all those fullments be. It's not that Mr. J is the messiah and therefore naturally he did such and such, it's that he purposefully did such and such in order to fit the bill. It smacks of a "fake it till you make it" strategy to gain recognition for being what you're not. Also in the list of tactics I encountered online I'd add the issue of interpretation, where someone will interpret a real and correct verse in a way that supports Christian beliefs, and the arguments in favor of that interpretation might actually be good sometimes, but it's just an interpretation and can be refuted by clear explicit statements by Gd elsewhere in the Bible, like saying that Gd saying "Let us make man in our image" proves the trinity. That's an interpretation. The verse can be interpreted in many ways, but we can prove the trinitarian interpretation wrong by looking at all the direct quotes from Gd saying I am alone, I am one, I am first and last and aside from me no god was formed, I am not a man that I should change my mind, etc.

(Deut. 4:2) Clearly this word from Moses does not allow for any changes, negative or positive, within the TORAH. This naturally disallows the many justications and oral traditions offered by the rabbis as to why Jews no longer need a temple with a priesthood and sacrificial system. I find it very interesting how Judaism naturally defaults to the rabbis when attempting to address issues like these. "The rabbis say..." Who cares! What did Moses say? He is your lawgiver not the rabbis!! The LORD spoke through Moses and nowhere does the LORD allow for change within the written law. What was established at Sanai was a religion whose foundation consisted of a priesthood and sacrificial system. Without this Judaism is not true Judaism as established by God through, not the rabbis, but Moses!!

I forgot to say a crucial fact: Jesus was not Jew. In my opinion this is what can happen when Evangelical Christians make up things that aren't there. They become more interested pushing their agenda than letting the Holy Spirit do the convicting! Now it looks like that strategy has backfired in a big way. I've kind of been there myself, but that's another story. Faith cannot be taught by another person and no one can be converted to it. Faith is born of the word of God, not of the word of man. The first insight is needed in the future to know how to identify the right one. It's like eating. You can't devour too much at once. God gives growth to each one’s own needs that no one else knows. Roman 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Cor.1Kor. 7:24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God. Let the Jew therefore remain a Jew, and "let the Greek remain Greek." This is how the two become brothers, accepting each other. The Jew learns what he needs to stay Jewish and the Greek what God raises him to be. Thus we have the same God who will not raise us so far that we will not remain brothers.

I do not consider myself a christian, being that I do observe the law of God, but christianity is not about being a good christian, it is about having a relationship with God in Yeshua. By the way, just like you did not choose to be a christian, Jews did not choose to observe the law. Jews were taught to observe the law, so your statement that you did not choose to be a christian does not make sense. Tell me, did you have a relationship with Yeshua, yes or no?

If you study all the time lines in biblical history they proof Jesus is the Messiah ,the Son of The Living God. Chritians love you, they want you to have eternal Life. That's why they are sharing what they know, not like this lady is trying to make it seem as if it is something bad just bcs she fell out of faith bcs satan came to her with his wisdom just as he went to Eve, telling her half truths. Call up on God the father with a humble God and you will see that the Power of His Love brings you to Jesus that was borned, crucified and resurected. I can't blame the speaker for her stance. I am a former Lutheran myself (40 plus years), and no longer a Paulinist (by 25 years), and so, I can identify with her in that regard. However, here is where I differ from the speaker. Although I am not a Jew, I stand 100% with them. She is on the mark with Pauline Christianity; however, the problem is, Jesus and the Apostles were Nazarene Jews, not Pauline Christians. Jesus and the Apostles were not interested in creating a new religion, that was a corruption created by Paul years later. There in a nutshell is the disconnect. Jews for 2 thousand years have bought the lie created by Paul. Paul and his intellectual descendants created a caricature of the Nazarene Jesus. Modern Messianism "i.e., Jews for Jesus" embraces Paulinism and add Jewish terms to the false practice to make it look kosher. This is not the Jesus of the Nazarene sect of Judaism. So, in the Jewish Nazarene Book the "Clementine Literature", Peter the Nazarene Jew (not Pauline Christian), states that there are going to be at least 2 people groups that will be saved. The first group to be resurrected will be the righteous Jews who follow Moses and obey his oral Torah. Next to be saved will be the righteous Jews and Gentiles who follow Jesus and obey his oral Torah (which is Moses oral Torah minus the blood sacrificial system). Peter states a caveat however...he states that those Jews who follow Moses should not "dis" those who follow the Nazarene (not Pauline) Jesus. Conversely, he states that Nazarene Jews and Gentiles should not "dis" Moses. Both the Pharisaic and Nazarene Jews were brother sects of Judaism. Peter goes one step further and said that the person who follows both Moses and Jesus have the best of both worlds...

Or a sense of inner peace, on the contrary, the most exhausted in life's preoccupations will try to find another God who fulfills the deficiency they think exists in their lives and drowning more in sin to the unforgivable sins of lying, murder, theft and trying to please the devil who controls their lives, But wisdom says: "Perfection is for God alone." Life is too short, and the intelligent person is the one who seeks to have his soul in safety at the end between the arms of the Lord God and his Holy Spirit.
