Not only does he kick someone already on the ground and then run away, later he sees a guy already being attacked and outnumbered and he decides that's a good time to join back in and get a punch in himself. A team that went undefeated in regular season play beating up on cupcakes probably doesn't deserve a bowl either. Or do you think they would have fared better against, say, any SEC team with a winning record? Also - this year was fubar and with all the cancellations weird decisions were made. Yep, State didn't deserve a bowl, but given that they still beat Tulsa, maybe Tulsa didn't either.

@@Starforge1 Tulsa should play a bowl game against a similar opponent. Just like Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State will. Bowl games are just pimped out. Even other years they give bowl games to average teams. Just for that $$. Same reason super teams like Alabama keep those weak teams on their schedule.

Both schools will be heavily fines for sure. I am curious as to what all the punishments dishes out will be. My bet is, large fines from the NCAA, SEC, and AAC, along with numerous multi-game suspensions, some single-game/half-game suspensions, and statements from both the coaches and ADs. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that the NCAA also suspends the schools from bowl eligibility for a year because of this.

It’s crazy when people with absolutely no intelligence speak on what should happen as punishment for teams that fight during the game. There won’t be any bowl bans dumb ass. That has never happened period. What does that even mean. Now suspensions probably. My guess is #4 and #7 full game suspensions. A slew of half game suspensions for both teams. End of discussion. Fines yes. But who cares. It doesn’t bother either school to pay a fine. Nothing else will happen

JFC.....sorry to infuriate the massive Tulsa and Miss State fanbases. I have zero skin in this game. Relax. It was a fucked up moment in an unimportant game.

It's a bit ridiculous to try to downplay a 3-7 team that played a 10-game SEC-only schedule that featured a total of EIGHT Top-25 teams from preseason to the midway point, before all of our teams beat up on each other and we ended up with only 4 teams in the Top-25. As a Razorback fan, with Arkansas also being 3-7 (although probably should've been 4-6 or 5-5, but got screwed by SEC officiating), I was highly disappointed that we got gipped out of our bowl game opportunity because TCU (6-4) cancelled... Call me crazy, but I'm confident that we would've beat them. Arkansas played what is arguably the toughest schedule in the history of CFB too, and we really could've been 6-4 considering that THREE of our alleged losses were by a combined total of 7 points (which includes the Auburn and LSU officiating debacles). Any SEC team with a 3-7 record this season would normally be 6-4, because they would've surely won at least 3 non-conference games if the teams were good enough to win 3 SEC games. So regardless people shouldn't get that twisted and try to act like a 3-7 Miss State or 3-7 Arkansas aren't worthy of a bowl game when that record is so misleading because of the SEC-only scheduling.
