I didn't do designs on the background of a few of the blocks in this series. My plan was to design the background once the top was put together so that everything looks cohesive. I will be posting videos of a quilt with these blocks when I am done building the top. In the meantime, you can watch for the videos on the Broken Star quilt. It is made with the same blocks, just in a different setting and a different colorway. I will show how I quilt the backgrounds in each block.
What kind of plastic are you using, is it the vinyl you would cover furniture with? Also is your marker a dry eraser type since you can so easily remove it, haven't seen one like that with a point like a permanent marker. TFS
Angela10226 the plastic is a vinyl that you cover tablecloths with. You can buy it by the yard at Joanns and other stores that sell fabric. That is a dry erase marker. I have used several different brands.
