Terrorism affects innocents in untold ways. Dead are dead, ok; but it affects living people also. This story is an eye-opener.

A brave strong clever woman . Good for her. She stood up to all those morons. She did not have much support from anyone. Can understand her frustration and anger. Poor girl.

Sad but true. I feel bad for the way these people are treated. You are a strong woman thanks for the sacrifice God bless you.

best story and actress i've ever seen in a lifetime! If this is based on a true story then the film deserves to be magnified in a wider public media supporting social awareness , and human rights protection..

Apparently she went back to Morrocco with her second husband and they had 2 boys and she was closer to her family as her father was unwell. But they are happy and doing well.

Wow, just wow!! Unbelievable how people can treat each other so poorly.

This movie really opened my eyes. I love her indomitable spirit and shudder at the at how easy it is to cloud the facts.

I believe that people are the same the world over, but it’s a shame when the few bad people make it bad for all the good people.

Lost her comfort, lost her job, lost her baby, lost her marriage. Her whole world was turned upside down 😢

They put her through a horrible experience and all they said was "sorry for the inconvenience". They made her suffer and she even lost her baby, I believe because of that stress. This is horrible, and my sincere condolences to them for the loss of their baby💔😢

😢So sad. And on top of the indignities she suffered, her husband was too angry to give her the support she needed.

So sad. Makes me so angry just to be an American citizen knowing that this happened.

9/11 is one of days that everyone of a certain age will remember exactly where they were when it happened. It really changed the world in a dramatic way. I never once imagined what it meant for anyone having the same name as one of the terrorists. A credit to all who acted in this movie and made it so captivating and drawing you in to their story. 👏🏼

A horrible experience for anyone but to also be pregnant. The aggression was unbelievable. As it was based on a true story then my condolences to the parents for the loose of the baby. Am sure this happened due to the stress she was under. This was so sad to watch

What a inhuman behaviour of the Police force to treat her that way...unacceptable...she should have taken steps

A very, very sad story about two innocent human beings. This could happen to anyone.

What is terrifying is the way American officials who should be trusted detained, threatened, terriorized and tortured a pregnant woman. Essentially tried and convicted her and besmirched her name. Sad that she then let that break up her marriage to someone decent and hardworking and well educated.

It's disgusting what she went through! I hope she sued .

I have read all the comments ,what a brave woman, I feel so sorry for her. how easy was it just to contact her husband first to stop all of that . Can only hope the FBI have grown up ,yes 9/11 was a horrendous time, and feel for all those lost . But that dosent excuse for what this brave woman had to go through .

I'm so sorry for thousands of innocent civilians who were implicated in much more worse manner than that happened in this episode. They had to carry on with the scar throughout their life 😢

This gave me some thinking. I have to ask pple what was their past life? Being innocent is good but here, i went thro the pain of many innocent pple. Lord, give me a discernment spirit to keep me of trouble.

This movie reminds me of a day after 911, I was a SGT in the US Army on leave (Vacation) in Florida when I was approached by someone due to my accent and asked why we hate this country, I simply walked away the person even got physical to the point I had to call my chain of command where I was told to call police and not to involve in anything physical with the person, that was inside a city building, everybody in line was looking at me when the guy called me Moslim terrorist blah blah....I had to let the security know & the person was forcefully removed but waited for me outside, security had to call police and I had to finally show the idiot my military common access card, the police said they will file press him for harassments but I had no time so I went back to my base in NC. This happens not only in the civilian world but even in the military ranks, it's sad but wherever humans live there is a racist and hater.

This was an incredibly unfortunate event in both of their lives. Losing the baby was devastating. I hope both of these individuals or at least the main character sought legal compensation on a federal level. Possibly taken this to a higher court regarding the injustices n the stress n the loss of the child due to dehydration n the stress of being placed into the situation. “Sorry for the inconvenience” was far from adequate compensation!! I hope she got millions!! He had his own problems possibly for the rest of his life. She can always use her maiden name. I hope she is healing and we able to have other children in another relationship.

And how do I understand her! I was interrogated by the Rainbow Bridge border with Canada. For absolutely NOTHING!!! From midnight till 9am 12 FBI and 6 CIA agents tortured me and my friend. No water, no toilet… And more horrible, just unbelievably terrible way we’ve been treated ! That was the first time when I realised that there no real “law” exists. There’re people who are above the law; and people below the law. Period! This is the true story of my own experience… Later I found out that we’ve been lucky compare to others. Because two weeks prior they bitted the sh..t out of one business woman to the point that she is now in a wheelchair till the rest of her life… And when I was stopped, she was suing the American border at the Rainbow Bridge. And only because of that they didn’t physically abuse us. I felt like I was in a nazzi hands… Sincerely and honestly.

This brave woman deserves an Oscar.

Poor woman! I can't understand why her and not her husband being harassed, what happened to that family should never happen to anyone. To put her, that poor innocent woman what they did is a disgrace. Bad things happen everywhere, it doesn't mean you can go crazy, deny people their human rights and interrogate innocent people before any real evidence against them has been firmly established. Is it not right and just anymore that someone be absolutely proven guilty before interrogated over crimes that they had never committed? What has this world come to? I feel truly sorry for that family and they had to endure losing a child through all of that, yet all that she was given was a half hearted sorry from that brutal agent who let his emotions get in the way of his job. I would of thought they would have been trained for those situations and to remain level headed in their job. I loved the movie but was sad and horrified that this happened to such a nice sweet caring and friendly woman as Laila who did absolutely nothing wrong, she did nothing at all to deserve the treatment she received and while pregnant, and as far as I am concerned they killed that poor woman's baby and I hope that case results in training so as to never allow that kind of inhumane treatment to happen to anyone else. She should of received the public apology she deserved and she should have been compensated for her ordeal which would have been sheer hell. Seems to me they care more about their own reputations and that of the organization for what he called a mere inconvenience, Yet had that been anyone else in any other situation by any other organization she would not have been treated in such a manner and would have been acknowledged for what this truly was would have been apologized to and would have been heavily compensated. I hope the family has been able to mend and get their lives back and I wish them the best sincerely wherever they be now in the world and may God Bless them.

This is so sad but they also do this to Americans in other countries. I'd like to know what happened to Layla and if the FBI ever got in trouble about the way they treated her being she had rights in America.

Not sure if anyone else experienced the voiceover timing issue. Out of sync for me. But even so, the movie is so compelling.

A Must Watch. Watching this movie is a learning curve. Female leading actress is way far beyond traditional acting. A one performance from this marvellous actress.

Very sad. Why did she not get a lawyer and take action against those who wronged her. She was a citizen with rights.

I do hope she has the strength & fortitude to write a book, naming and shaming the people involved...she lost everything because her husband had a common arabic surname...typical of the FBI & American law enforcement judging everyone because of there ethnicity...I hope her life improved and she finally found happiness peace

I feel so angry for her. The FBI and airport staff were atrocious. So disgusting and the fact that she was pregnant. Not to mention all that she went through just because of her surname.

The lead actress is stunning and very good. I hope she made many more films.

these "attacks" were well planned in advanced and the CIA had prior knowledge, so did the insurance industry and many investors that bought put-options and made millions$! I worked for the reinsurance company that took a large hit and I consider the event as the largest ever insurance fraud.

The lady investigator is really convincing with her act, its believable and she act heartedly.

If 9/11 had happened in another country, they would have done SAME things as well, being over vigilant, overly suspicious and don’t try and say they wouldn’t. Nobody wants that but when you have government grown as big as we have allowed, this awful thing that happened should not have been a surprise. Glad they made this movie!! I had never seen it!! Injustice is so hard to watch.

My ex-husband (who is Iranian) and I were coming back to the US through the US-Mexican bridge. They questioned him for about 45 minutes. He was so pissed. This was after 9/11, so it was expected. I remember the white agent was specially hateful. The other guys were Hispanic. I know this is nothing compared to this lady's ordeal, but it still doesn't make it ok.

I have a best friend, she’s spaniel, because her husband’s last name is Muhammad, after 911 happened, they’ve been lost jobs gone frustrated. They are have to change last name for all family members. So sad this happened to them because by name.

😡 this angers me! I remember that day clearly. Everything that day was in slow motion and we rescheduled all of our patients. An attack on our country affected everyone back then. But to harass is very wrong

Well written well directed story. The assumption that the two guys with the same name was a mere coincidence was false . Whoever made that assumption underestimated the ingenious elaborate plan plan of the terrorists.

this sucks!!! i feel soo bad for her,she lost her baby over some stupid mistakes ..and why the FBI didn't clear her name off the list in the first place after they found out they mestaken her for someone else? and why they didn't took care of everything to make sure they don't run into troubles such as being fired at work place ,the issues at the bank... so its that it ? sfter they ruined her and her husbands life they left them hanging and being treated like that ...really sad ..... :( this happens to them and they can never get the're life back they way it was :(

Great script and a very talented actress however the end was an anticlimax for me I expected her to sue
