I've got my first race ever this weekend and I'm pumped but got the nerves going on. Two years ago I got a traumatic brain injury and now I'm living a childhood dream. Ok sob story over thanks for the tips again!
The POV commentary and explanation was gold. So many POVs look great but you cant see rider inputs etc. Hearing what you are doing on the bike as you ride was fantastic. Great vid Neil.
Collisions for sure. On The Burn at Turkey Point there's a spot where two large roots exactly match the wheelbase of my bike, and more often than not they completely stall me out (hard tail). If I don't carry enough speed to hop the front wheel over both of them, I'm done. One of these days I'll master the bunny hop and see what that does for them...
I often find myself in too low of a gear coming out of a corner and not being able to pedal away strong. It's often just a mental error at the start of the corner.
I was focused on using all the available traction on the apexes and finding where it ends, but lately I've been concentrating on carrying as much momentum as possible as gracefully as I know I can. I stopped wearing pads for this shift in style
Great video Neil. Your explanations and Instructions are always really good. I fractured my spline last week going too fast so hopefully you can do a video on slowing down too!! Hahaha. Keep the videos coming Neil you are a great presenter.
Great rider an coach are Neal !!👌 When i Ride i can,t Ride slower ..., I try do Ride Faster at I can be, , I like to find the best line choice to increase speed, it's a hell of safisfaction!! And practice the single tracks Over and Over, we need to now how they are,
I love the channel, but it is way too much about downhill most of the time..."Mountains" have both up and down. I enjoy the ups as much as down and that's the workout and makes the downs better. Heck, the right lines and technique matter more in some ways climbing. Hey Neil, do more climbing and lose some of that chunk your building. LOL You even complain in the vid about having to pedal a bit on a flat.
