When I was in college I used to go after 2pm on Sunday and the last vegetable stall in the back would let me take their entire box for $1. It would be half-filled with potatoes, tomatoes and occassionally carrots. That would feed me for almost 2 months and was a total lifesaver. Those were the good days. The bad days, they would charge about $1 per kilogram, still an okay price. I would lug it all back on foot to the train station, then get on the bus to the stop closest to my house and walk back from there. That was back in 2010-2015 when I still had infinite strength and could carry anything without breaking a sweat.
I would think it would be wonderful if you did that towards closing like "hey, if I go ahead and were to buy the remaining carrots in this/these boxes, do you think we could work out something?". That way your not per se EXACTLY asking for a "discount" wink wink. :)
I sell handmade soap at our local farmers market. I can tolerate kids until the parents drop the kid off as if I am the babysitter. This happens every week. Not only is this rude but kids don't care if they mix up my display. I have to rearrange everything. Dogs are a big no for me because I have had dogs decide to lift their leg on my soap boxes. That causes a big problem for me. Also people don't realize how much it costs us to sell there. Our market has booth fees for the market, fees for the mall parking lot and state sales taxon everything. This does not include cost of materials or labor. It is harder than most people say.
This is honestly the worst video Mashed has put out. You didn’t give a single reasonable tip for a modern farmers market. Most of these are preferences (like dogs), rude (like telling people not to browse or leave your kids at home), or outdated (saying some vendors only accept cash which isn’t true post-COVID in major cities).
I agree, this is INAPPROPRIATE! Especially those of us with special needs that might need to feel and view the products in front of our faces, feel, etc. As I am Deafblind and developmental special needs, I do need to do things differently often times. Such as the above and thus made it uncomfortable for me to be watching this. Not gonna continue watching this channel.
