Would love a video talking about what connectors you like to use, what fuse blocks, what crimp connectors, wire, loom, etc. Not specific to any project, just general wiring wisdom. Maybe even sell starter wiring kits on your website.
Thanks for the link, turns out I need a crimper for Weather Pack type terminals. Thanks to your link I was able to find some. I know you, MORR, Fab Rats and Robby Layton don't want to be seen as "how to" channels and I get it, but it is great to learn from people who have earned our trust.
Both Chad and Dusty are both laid back and easy going, Enjoy watching these 2 brothers working side by side, I was blessed to have a older brother like you Chad, I felt blessed every time I told someone that he was my brother. That dam Cancer got him 6 years ago, but he's with me every day! Seeing Dusty work with his brother and nephews warms my heart. TAKE CARE!
After watching Robbie, I watch Chad so I can get my sanity back! Your delicate touch in all that you do, whether it be physical or emotional is soothing to my soul. Thank you for that.
"One step, One thought, One task at a time". Anyone who has ever been overwhelmed on a job immediately understands and agrees with this profound wisdom. it IS the only way to address overwhelming tasks - especially when your working alone. Well said Sir, well said. You are a pleasure to watch at work, and well seasoned when it comes to handling stress - the proper way. Great Video.
One little oversight on that wiring nightmare is not even worth mentioning. You do fabulous work on pretty much everything! It relaxes me to watch you work , and makes my day better. Thanks for the vid's👍👏
Not only is Stacie a grandma, but that makes Chad a grandpa! Congratulations! What a change it is when a grand baby comes along. Kudos to Chad, Dusty, & the boys on their hard work wiring the MORR wrecker. There are more wires than I could have imagined in that wrecker.
Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa, you too Mom and Dad! I'm a recovering alcoholic so I understand one step at a time, but I'm still leaving the wiring to you guys. Hello Mrs. ,glad to see your smiling Beautiful face, I'm sure it's your radiance that keeps everyone motivated and smiling. You all are in my prayers Hoka Hey
I worked at a company once and to make things short: their primary secret of success was not qualification, economics or whatever, but getting the right people together. Where the chemistry fits. Not knowing Chad just as I did not know other ‘cooperators‘ before, I feel the people Matt is getting around his endeavour are quite an awesome bunch and I think it would be fun, productive and an overall positive experience to be around, just as with Chad and crew. Feels again a bit like being part of a big family - much appreciated Chad‘s Fab!
I know that I've said it before but it's worth saying again, you are such an inspiration! You're whole family is so upbeat. Your channel is one of my favorites!
Wow this Chad's Fab's team is gushing with knowledge and experience and all is needed for this monsterous job they're doing for Matt's Off road recovery. Things are coming together!
Thanks for sharing Chad's Fab! Sometimes it's just not easy to follow along with Matt's Rube Goldberg type of projects! Especially when he is not always there or too busy with other things to completely explain how things are supposed to work. I do believe a small deviation here and there is to be expected with all that is going on. At least he had the best for the job on the job! Stay safe healthy and happy 👍
Am in awe that you're able to keep all the wires straight in your mind ~ even with them tagged. Outstanding presentation & explanation of where all wires go. You and your son tops in this field. Matt and Paul lucky you do their trucks and cars. Stay safe and sane.
Chad & Dusty, God bless ya!! I go cross-eyed just looking at a pile of wires like that, let alone connecting all of them, let alone making it all work in the end!! Thank God for folks like you that know how to do all that!! :-)
What a job you have here. Glad you met with the Badlands company folks to discuss the winch controller situation. Many kudos to all involved, yourself included.
Yeah wiring, brackets, and other stuff, making a one time project by nature will need corrections and back tracking. Normal! Just wait till its time to flight test this massive effort. Good luck keep them videos ah comin. Ten-4
3:54 The Dunning-Kruger Effect. If it hasn't happened to you than you haven't learned enough. This is a work environment I can get onboard with. Good video.
This man is precise and swift like a blade. So much respect foe your work ethic and approach to this kind of wiring. Great choice of connectors and terminals everything is serviceable
Always amazed at you and your family’s skills, also look forward to your parting words of wisdom as they are always timely when I need a spiritual uplifting…thank you so much…🤗❤️🙏🙏🙏
Wow your skill level is definitely master of all MASTERS in the wiring universe. I love doing wiring but I'm not near your level. I enjoy the new stuff but love the trouble shooting and tracing of a bad wire. To me it's calming and so satisfying when it is figured out and fixed. I could watch tutorials from you all day.
Chad. Great video. Love that you added more narrative about what your doing and how your doing. Keep that up and you'll get followers faster than you expect. Remember the 30/30/40 ratio. 30% instruction, 30% no narrative video, and 40% fun and personality
I haven't heard any truer words spoken yet as your closing statement is so absolutely true! I have done enough wiring now to appreciate your labors of love cause no one wants to take this job that is concentration and more than anything label, take notes if needed as you go cause memory alone is a marginal way of doing something like this. I have yet to do a modification in this depth, I have installed wiring looms in big rigs like say Kenworth or other rigs similar to those that haul the freight. I owned a shop and repaired my own big rigs, all that said, there were diagrams to follow making it a large "erector" game KINDA, but its not just that..... many circuit breakers and airlines you buddy with them. I only watched them wire my hughes 500 helicopter. I frown on falling out of the sky as it just makes your passengers really nervous when you have to fly deadhead to a landing strip, then power slide to a stop. I have done it when my tail rotor cables were snapped into.
As has been mentioned at least twice, where did you get those crimpers? Needed a set last week, I either need to grow a third hand or get a set of those crimpers!
Chad you have a beautiful brain. thank you for sharing. The detail you share about the process and the project itself is great. It is wild how many details there are and its inspiring how you stay organized. Even tho you joke, you have a great way of organizing while having a laid back attitude. Appreciate you all :)
I get amped for any gage of wiring quality. Chads one grounded human no matter watt. Problems may arc but its a relay race, so a steady current will fuse to a victory.
I love watching these guys. Chad is so calm. I don't understand wiring, no way no how. Only that it bites. Great job to you guys. A pleasure to watch you at work.(Play)
Considering the numerous interface and complexity of multiple systems requiring wiring, you, sir, and the gang are Next Level. Impressive is an understatement! Thank you for sharing your video diary of this project. 😊
This is the 3rd vehicle that I’ve watched Matt rebuild. Makes you wonder what he can possibly find to outdo this wrecker build. And you’re the pleasant genius who makes it work. Congrats on your first grandchild.
I really enjoyed this video. Chad you are awesome to watch wire up stuff and work on different difficult tasks. Patient and precise. I’ve no doubt this will perform perfectly for Matt. 👍❤️
that crimper tool is a true game changer. i had an engineering internsthip for a company that built telecom wiring harnesses. seeing the wire strippers and crimpers the assemblers used was mind blowing. in a few minutes they could strip and pin a 10 or 12 pin terminal block.
