They do not want them so they dont have to be held to account my word versus yours. Meade said that Mr. Casey stopped in the intersection in front of him a waved a gun at an on coming car and at him... then after we see the footage that was not the case so he lied. Nor did anyone see Mr Casey wave a gun but this officer. The officer does not want to say he profiled Casey he does not want to say that he saw Casey as the suspect they were looking for. He turned his car around and immediately went after Casey off of his gut (prejudice). You can see this from the officer's treatment of Casey as if he was a criminal and dangerous. Casey had no idea he was being hunted.
@common_cent I agree that all law/legal enforcers need body work cameras. But the CURRENT issue with law/legal enforcement is they are misusing the body worn cameras, turning either the audio and/or the video functions OFF! A clear line of punishment has to be established regarding the use and when and IF to turn off audio/video on body worn cameras AND in the case of Death or injury WITHOUT all functions of body camera activated the law/legal enforcement should be terminated!!!! Otherwise a three strike approach (example 1st violation- written warning -update training. 2nd violation - 5 days no pay not allowed to use PTO - update training. 3rd violation - 15 days no pay not allowed to use PTO - final update of training explaining next offense is TERMINATION) no resetting of offenses.
If you are not going to meet the standard of having your video camera on - you get a minimum 20 year sentence. I don’t know who is guilty of what in this case but the government has almost unlimited power and other police agencies must know they need to comply, it’s not optional. Generally the public will benefit from this policy/law - isn’t that what the cops say they are about - serving and protecting?
This story is awfully sad and make you really angry at the police. Watch 10 hours of police body cam videos and see the bullshit those guys have to put up with.
@@Jenny0U812just because they’ve had a bad day doesn’t mean they should just kill people. I watch body cam footage all the time and they do deal with a lot but that doesn’t give over aggressive cops the right to just murder people, white or black.

As long as turning off or deleting body cam footage is legal, as long as qualified immunity exists, as long as the police misconduct can be brushed aside WE ARE ALL NOT SAFE.

No, he had one in his mouth too. Were you all born yesterday or just that dishonest? Just so happen the young boy's gun was found out of holster underneath him. And then he is high to boot with an attitude toward police. And willing to bet that rap was his favorite form of entertainment. He was a ticking time bomb. We all have the right to defend ourselves and others. And that is what happened here. I just hope kids and adults learn from this. Playing with guns can get you killed.

I think people seem to forget that jurors are regular, everyday people that have to show up for jury duty under threat of arrest. They don’t have an agenda…they just want to go back to work like everyone else.
NOTHING and I mean NOTHING about this officer's actions makes any sense! That this man would be waving a gun while out to get sandwiches at him or anyone! I think that he saw a Black guy with a holstered weapon and followed him home and ended up getting his assault rifle for long distance and shooting him multiple times in the back after he'd entered the home with a key! Yet he was concerned for the people inside? Makes me sick and these elected leaders are responsible for letting pigs like this off the hook by making deals with the union contract! We are a nation of laws not a nation of policies!!!

This is the statement from the Officer that streams "what" Casey while making a left hand turn (who is right handed) pointed a gun at him quote" that made him duck!" while passing in the intersection. Ofc Meede words.... Casey's actions were so urgent he made a u-turn to intersect this gun welding man, because he presented danager for himself and others YET he Ofc Meede DID NOT turn on lights and sirens??????????? His testimony made no sense to me, his actions made on sense to me.......... Casey had not committed a crime that gave the officer the right to become judge, jury and executioner! Meede had more than 20 years with military service and policing. To shoot someone 6 times in the back???? Anyone who thinks his actions are not suspect...close your eyes and pretent it is your son, uncle, brother, dad and/or lover.. and someone tells you that your loved one waved a gun at the police after coming from the dentist and subway.. Could you accept your loved one was not murdered?

The danger/threat was over!!!!! Call for back up and all the other police stuff they do, right? Why escalate the situation at the home??? The special prosecutor in my opinion was of low quality as if they wanted a not guilty verdict. They needed a Special Prosecutor like Linda Dunikoski from the Ahmaud Arbery trial. She drummed in all the points/details we are talking about in her case (INCONSISTENCIES) Ofc Meede told on himself but this special prosecution team just didn't or didn't want to pick up on them.

They charged him,, this is why we no longer have good men/women applying to be a police officer,, I was a deputy sheriff over 20 years ago,,,no f-cking way would I do it now. Period
I would not say we don't have good people working toward a law enforcement career. But the climate I think has definitely deterred a lot who maybe considered it.
A man with a permit to carry was followed home after picking up a sandwich by a cop who said the man waved the gun at him. The officer used his rifle to then shoot him five times in his back as he was putting his key in the door to go in his home. Turns out the gun never was taken from the holster. I will let you think on it from there.

This sounds and reads like coded language by the killing team: those that kill, those that defend the killer(s), along with those that assist them-killer(s) when, and where, and/or however they can. I'm actually surprised that this domestic terrorist -cop- in uniform was even questioned about killing this young Black man full of life, his hands working to open the door while holding and bringing food home to his mother and children who were safe inside the house when suddenly they are forced out of their home. I can only imagine, was it the domestic terrorists wearing the same uniform that just killed their family member? Goodson's Mother and children seen him laying next to their home. Shot dead, or left to bleed out until he died. I can only imagine no life saving procedures was administered. No blood on their hands, eh. If only the -cop- shooter had "approached this with fairness" then maybe Justice would have prevailed? But these domestic terrorists are trained to terrorized, especially the Black Populous. Does this type of policing happen in neighborhood communities where non-Black people live? I can only wonder because I don't see or hear much about these murders. Statistics show more Black people are killed by domestic terrorists -cops- than any other group of people. FBI just put out another report stating hate crimes against Black people, who are targeted, attacked the most, is on the rise.
before you run up the race card as you have, you might want to do your homework more whites are killed by cops every year than blacks. 98% of all the shootings are legit, about 2% are questionable, 99% of killings in America are done by blacks, and guess who they are killing, other blacks, once in a while do you have a bad cop, sure You Do, but overall not so, but since people have screamed defund the cops and get them out of the neighborhoods guess what has happened, more black men are dead, in Philadelphia they can not dig holes fast enough yet no one confront other blacks or for example the rap industry for helping and abetting the killing of young black men in America, I am American Indian so I understand the hurt in communities but we confront our own before we hang all others. I am not lecturing you but look in the mirror, become a big brother to single moms' kids do something helpful in the black community, the older black woman in church groups do a wonderful job, but you young bucks screw over every effort they come up with, try helping them, the few black men killed by cops every year is nothing compared to the thousands killed by other black men year after year, so have a nice day.
No one knows what happened. Black leaders are saying he followed him home for no reason and chased him into the home and straight up murdered him. Yeah,right. It makes sense for a cop to follow someone home for no reason and shoot him dead for no reason.. Makes zero sense which is why it is a mistrial.

I think the officer who shot Mr. Goodson knows the most. And I believe him. Goodson was high and started the whole thing. Scary some people who are carrying guns.
To be fair, when you live long enough, you see things in people. And sometimes those things include a "not gonna last long / has nothing going on" label. And i can say with more knowledge than anyone else with an opinion on this case, that's exactly what i saw for the both of them.
Looked up the case, Jason Meade is not the defendant. Jason is his middle name. The lawyer who said justice is served was correct…. If you listen clearly what he said was JUST US was served. Another CIVIL SERVANT who forgot his title is CIVIL SERVANT,
I was in the Marine Corps with this man, in Lima company out of Columbus Ohio, he was an outstanding marine, and if he said he saw a gun, I believe him….also I hear people saying his camera was turned off, no it wasn’t turned off, that task force doesn’t have camera equipment, those deputy’s are basically contractors for the u.s marshals and everyone wants to pinch pennies and did not provide these guys cameras. It’s not the officers fault he didn’t have a camera. Prayers for the Meade family and Goodman family, it’s a tragedy for both families.

Your fellow Marine Vet CREATED the rushed/dangerious situation at the home because he had time to call for back up and let back up arrive BECAUSE he stated he didn't know what Casey was doing (He shoud have investigated by running the car tag, that simple act would have provided him the fact that the car belonged to that address - THREAT GONE ). If Ofc Meede had just used common sense being that he fought to protect our rights to bare arms and having more than 20 years with military service and policing. To shoot someone 6 times in the back? Let's say your fellow Marine was placed in danger at the intersection? The danger/threat was over and the SOP for the job should have kicked in....
@@sejones2665Meade identified the gun and extended clip, there is no way he would have known he had a gun if he didn’t point it at him, people want to ignore the facts. Our society want to be quick to blame officers, but who’s to say this man was listening to murder rap and waving his gun around and got himself killed. It’s a tragedy, I am absolutely sickened by the situation but at the very least, Goodman was making poor decisions with that firearm waving it around.

You may want to replay the trial video again....look at the portion of the video at the intersection played at regular speed. There is NO way your fellow Marine identified the gun clip detail. Meede got the gun clip detail from the scene at the house after the killing. Remember he didn't have to write a report directly after the shooting. He did not provide his written statement for approximately 10 days or so after the death, and that's where he messed up with that clip detail at the intersection. They're just trying their hardest to exonerate a guilty man. This is dispicable and disgraceful! He needs to be held accountable and the legal system is trying hard to let him go free! This is unacceptable!!
