You attend a university or place of higher learning to get an education in a specific area. You don't have a right to tell the school how to run themselves. If you're that committed to this cause, withdraw from the school and transfer to a school that meets your silly criteria.

You are at MIT to get a valuable degree that will propel you in your career. If you disagree with their policies, you have a full right to leave MIT and you should exercise that. You came in there, knowing that there is research ongoing and that may be utilized by ID. It was your choice to come there. Now exercise, your right to leave. And you are free to protest, but your protest should not violate civil code or university policy.

MIT students should be smart enough to know about Israel's prominence in cybersecurity research. Divesting from Israeli companies is a move that undermines American cybersecurity, because we have lots of collaborations, both corporate and academic, with Israeli researchers. That has to make you wonder who's really behind all this...
