DEFFO! Thats what I always said. It was so believable that the idiots at the beeb (or most likely ITV) would think help crossover. I bet it would get comissioned for nine seasosn as well
Mitchell and Webb really put their haart 'n soul into these sketches. And the end of the day, you can really see their haart 'n soul, and that's what matters, that's what makes these sketches so good - the haart 'n soul.
"Magnets and electricity are expensive, so we here at CERN generally try to get the neutrons up to speed by having the work-experience lad run them around the track as much as possible".
You've got to say that in the David Mitchell voice. It's almost like ooh that's a bad Miss. God help you when you live in Southeast Georgia and nobody knows who Mitchell & Webb are
has anyone else noticed that each prayer and a pint skit begins with a scissor sisters song of their first album. not loudly but in the establishing shots?
"All I want to do is praise him" Hahahaha, the professor sits there and thinks; "All I want to do is strangle him" it at least looks so when he's wearing that smile ^^
My dad - bless 'im he's dead now - used to go out with me mum - bless 'er she's dead now - on a Sunday for something they euphamistically called something like that. They and their chums - bless 'em they're dead now - used to drive out to a country village, spend a few minutes looking at the local church, then go for a meal and drink a shit load of beer & wine... Happy Days!
gem85precious really put their heart and soul into this video. Perhaps they could have done a bit more though? Like learning how to edit without cutting off the end, maybe?
Possibly, in the short-lived show Caprica it is established that the centurion Cylons evolved from the disembodied memories of two teenage girls who had died and become trapped in cyberspace. One of which was Bill Adama's older sister and partially explained how the programmed centurions and the thinking skinjobs treated Galactica differently.
Yank here -- A Prayer and A Pint just has to be based on something, right? Some British equivalent of a local access show hosted by your affable drunk uncle?
It's partly a pastiche of the religious broadcasting on the BBC, in particular a show called Songs of Praise where the presenter visits a different cathedral each week and they show the congregation singing hymns.
I think you may be the earliest case of that UNBELIEVABLE mistake where people write "of" instead of "have" that I've seen. I'm not from an English speaking country but I still don't just type what I hear.
Colin’s BIG sussy I saw him fake task in cafeteria🧐 blue and brown can back me up they’re both clean. He kept following the 3 of us prolly waiting for someone to go off on their own
The Black and White Minstrel Show was a British light entertainment show that ran on BBC television from 1958 to 1978 presenting traditional American minstrel and country songs, as well as show and music hall numbers, usually performed in blackface. So it's a pun and it also references a show that would never get on the air these days. Isn't it hilarious how racist people used to be, that whole angle.
