When the 'curve' mode is selected, how is it applying the requested room temperature? Does it assume e.g. 20C default and apply an offset? That would be great -ive been trying to find a way to do nighttime setback while using the weather compensation curve

OK Bear with me. Just to clarify that the "curve" mode varies the flow temperature depending on the outside air temperature, your graph on the controller by your cylinder can be set to your required needs.(Tip: this is a bit tricky to figure out so if it ain't broke don't fix it) If you have set your APP as my video, the time and target temperature for any given period will control the system with the unit outside in the curve mode. If your room temp is above your target temp the outside unit will be off. So you will need to set your APP timer settings for when you wish the night setback period is to begin and set a lower temperature (say 15deg) for this period, obviously if your room temp is above your night setback target temp the outside unit will be off, until the room temp falls below the target temp. Hope this helps. Regards Andy

@@andywillsfilm Very helpful, thank you! In my case I think it would be more efficient to manually apply the curve offset at night, using a lower flow temperature to lower the room temperature

I've just installed my Melcloud unit and would like to set up timings on the app. Currently I have my heating set on the main controller unit to be on al the time (via a curve) and this is adjusted using the fall back timings which the master control lets you input twice per day. I'm on octopus energy's Cosy tariff which has many different costs per Kwh throughout the day so this App is going to help with that. One Question though, in the timings section on the master controller do i wipe all the times away and leave it blank or have it set to a single temp and the app then controls it? The Melcloud apps says to remove any settings and it'll do the rest.

You should delete any timer settings in the main controller to prevent any conflicts between the App and the Main Controller. See FAQ in the following library.mitsubishielectric.co.uk/pdf/download_full/2395

Just a couple of other points I forgot to mention and that is your remote room temp controler can be adjusted to change the desired room temperatures in any time/ temp event, note this will revert to the programmed temp at the next event on your matrix table in the App. One other thing, the app overrides any settings you may have programmed into the main controler in your airing cupboard.

Thanks for the video. Is it possible to manually override the flow temperature in weather compensation mode from the app as you can on the main controller?

I think what you mean is:-is it possible to change the curve flow temp in relation to outside temp in the APP? I have not found this functionality within the APP.
