Thanks a bunch for the video, mate! Really helped me out with the installation, i had both lights blinking and was confused why it wouldn't properly enter pairing mode.
Hi there , fantastic video! I don't even know to thank you but you save my day! The controller was acting wierd I guess withou battery , I also have wifi on the system but I was completely stuck to make this work again without this video! Thank you so much! Greetings from PORTUGAL!
Marvelous video & very helpful, as a suggestion it would be useful for a video showing dip switch changes in conjunction with connections for 2 motorised port valves for C/H zones on the Ecodan ASHP
Hi, thank you for your video, I learn more than I read on my manual. Is there a way to prevent increasing manually temperature to avoid younger (or older) to "play" with the controller and changing at an untimely the SET temperature value ? Of course, hidden the controller is a solution but not a really good one in my case. Thank you in advance.
Good morning, Can you give me your opinion. I configured my wireless thermostat. I am on mode 4, to display in addition to the target temperature, the temperature of the rooms. what I don't understand is that when I have 19 in target temperature and already 23 degrees in the room (hearth to walk in the living room), the heating continues to turn. I don't have the "temperature" symbol on the wireless thermostat, could that be the problem? thank you in advance :)
Fantastic video! I seem to be having difficulty still with my wireless receiver, the current room temperature where I have placed my receiver is 20 degrees and when I increase the temperature on the receiver is does not increase. It seems to only detect the temperature within the water tank cupboard, when I put the wireless receiver higher such as 26 degrees it then turns on. Is it reading the water tank room rather than the room I have placed the reciever?
@@dorewoodman i'll double check, I'm an electrician and have installed heating systems before but the Ecodan for some reason just fries my brain. Moved into a property that had it installed.
Thanks for your video. But one question, i have just one big room in my house (bedroom are at upstairs with electric radiator), can i setup this remote as "MAIN RC" ???? Or if i do that main panel (the one on hydrobox) become inoperant ????? Thanks
If you only have one zone on the system and using the Mitsubishi wireless room thermostat you will need to select RC1. If you are not using the wireless stat then set it to MAIN RC to prevent P1 error code
@@dorewoodman Thanks for your help. Just another thing : can view if datas are writen to sd card, because each time i have a power outage it seems autolearn function go back to zero.
I have one and it will not pair up , tried 7 times but keeps coming up with err on screen, assuming it’s a fault unit so have ordered a new one, have you had anything like this? Great video 👍👍
Hi Jason; it is likely that system is on while trying to pair the receiver. On the main Mitsi controller hold down the large round button with the suitcase on it until it asks if you want to shut down the system, press yes to shut down and then try the pairing process
Hi, can you tell me how do you get the room temp option for both zones? No matter what I do, I can only set 1 zone to room temp, and the other zone can only be set to flow or compensation curve. Thank you
@@dorewoodman Thank you for your reply. In this video it shows that both zones are room temp. controlled, but I think I figured it out, it has to be set in 2 zone valve control with dip switch, and then only one room thermostat controls both zones. I
Thank you for your comment, if you have the MELCloud app installed then you will need to link it up to the interface which should be connected to the FTC on the cylinder. Once this is set up you will be able to control the heating through the app, there is always a lag between setting a temperature and the thermostat showing the change in temperature so just give it a couple of minutes to react.
@@dorewoodman Cheers Dore, do I just hold down the button on the WiFi box to get it connected? it doesn't seem to be broadcasting at min. I have the MELCloud app and white WiFi box, it just process to connecting these I am not sure. thanks.
@@bobo8638 hold down the mode button (you will need something small to compress the button) for a couple of seconds until you get an orange flash, while it is flashing then push the WPS button on your WiFi hub that should allow them to link up
@@dorewoodman Thanks Dore, I think I got things mixed up, I thought I could connect my phone to the white box you have in this vid, but I think I need another wifi sender to connect to the ecodan then connect to my phone. If you ever get time or the energy to do a vid on Ecodan to phone, that would be great. Thanks for the help. cheers.
Hi Jamie, at the bottom of the cold feed supply as it enters the bottom of the cylinder there should be a service/isolation valve with a 3/4 connection on the end. That is where you need to attach a hose, switch off the incoming main to the cylinder and open that valve to drain it off. I hope that makes sense
@@dorewoodman Thanks for that, there is a drain cock at the bottom but there is a pump above it which eventually goes into the system should I turn the valves on the pump off? the last thing I want to do is drain the heating system. Do I have to drain the tanl above the cylinder as well? surely that fills the cylinder? I've got a weld failed inside the cylinder and been told to drain it down. any help much appreciated.
@@jamiejames6952 hi, you have 3 pumps on the mitsubishi cylinder the one on the far left goes to the heating system, the one in the middle goes to the heat pump itself and the one on the right is connected to the plate heat exchanger and scale reducer and the hot water cylinder. The inlet pipe to the right of that is the cold water feed to the cylinder with the valve on the bottom for drain off. If you attach a hose on to that, shut the lever valve on the incoming main to cylinder and open the valve that will just drain off the cylinder and hot and cold pipework and white expansion vessel and will not drain the heating system. The heating drain off cock on the cylinder is low down to the left of the plate heat exchanger.
Hi, try to power the system down completely check the dipswitches and flick the ones that are associated with the wireless controller on and off and couple of times to ensure they are fully engaged and back on again and see if that works. Make sure also the system is shut down.
