The clogging of pump systems has been a problem for wastewater municipalities' Lift Pumping Stations for many years, and the Covid-19 pandemic brought an increase in the usage of wipes, along with an increase in the improper disposal of those wipes (oftentimes they are flushed down a toilet). To combat this issue and help municipalities maximize their pump operation uptime, the cleaning function of the FR-F800 VFD uses a programmable timing sequence of reverse and forward rotations of a pump to remove non-dispersible materials from an impeller.
