Over 90% of the aircraft was redesigned by Japan and the material of the aircraft was replaced with carbon fiber. The structure of the wing is a fastenerless structure made of adhesive, which was the first technology in the world. The cruising range is extended, and up to four large anti-ship missiles can be mounted. Equipped with the world's first AESA radar. Many carbon technologies were adopted on the Boeing 787.
The material is different from F16. F2 is made of carbon fiber, has a large blade area and a long trailing distance. The number of missiles installed exceeds F16
Well the F-16 is a really great aircraft and the F-2 is very similar to the F-16. The F-35 is also an astonishing aircraft, I just see the F-16 as a awesome aircraft that's successful.
Mitsubishi makes the f-2 as a direct copy of the 16, even uses the same American turbine. They also make an f15 copy, again, same engines. Wonderful craft and aircrews. A base stocked with 15s & 16s (or the copies) is pretty well equipped airbase
@@Resistculturaldecline Well what I have to say about that is they need to make their own kind of aircraft so their manufacturer name can be brought up and people can say "hey they have these cool aircraft!" I don't think they should still certain ideas from other manufacturers. It is not really nice unless they say that they can. Besides why can they just be thankful with the extraordinary aircraft that the United States gives them. I mean Japan and the United States are allies which is wonderful.
@@moseskelly2886 Mitsubishi & Japan didn't do that on the down-low, an ally making copy craft would be a bigger deal than that. Japan is a trusted ally and they were given the original blueprints from the original designers such a McDonnell Douglas and General Dynamics. Obviously full go ahead from the US also. I can't say what those rights of manufacture costs, but most certainly it's done with legit payment or the promise of joint security of sky duties. I mean, they're using US engines so it's not an underhanded deal going on.
@@waseemashiq6035 it's not license copy of f16, it is enhanced and bigger version of f16, like hornet and super hornet, same shape but bigger and better version of it..
please inform ... the physical dimensions of F-2 is very typical with F-16 made general Dynamic from USA. But the pilot's canopy lids are different. Is there any transfer of technology to F-16 General Dynamic to F-2 made by Japan
