Once again great info Brett.! I shake my head when I see local tooners pushing psi through a motor and leaving the poor sst slipping and suffering. If you have a tune MR or Ralliart and your tuner hasn't touched any of the sst tables then you can expect to be ordering clutch packs pretty dang quick.
Nice video with good info. I just bought a used 2010 ralliart with SST tranny in it that is having issues. It bucks quite a bit and cant decide which gear its in. I'm very new to misubishi but it seems like when the car gets to "d5" and you slow to a stop it still remains in "d5" for a time before it correctly chooses the proper gear. Very weird. I wish your shop was in the US because I have no idea how to do this xD
2014 Lancer Ralliart Turbo sst downshift from 6th to 4th sometimes Same issue from 4th to 6 th when it comes to up gear too Not all the time Any advice
Alright so don’t go with the Cobb tune and boost pull that gouts you up like 40hp to wheel for like 500 bucks cause a clutch pack rebuild is around 5g?
My 2010 Evo X MR has 130k kms and still running as new, just serviced on time (by myself) because Mitsu and most of the service workshops around there are useless. Those SST for repairs are from kids who just buy parts n send their cars to any tuner to show them on instagram
@@motuc_fan_vic Right? My 14 MR has 105k on it, shifts like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. It is tuned and runs all great parts but I built it for purpose, not show. Mitsu charged me $1200 to change the fluid and filter, now I just do it every year for $380 and 1/2 hour of my day.
Depends how you drive the car. If you read the log book it will say anywhere from about 30k (heavy usage aka towing) to 120k. I am choosing to have mine replaced at 60k (next service).
MRT Performance The cars under warranty. Apparently it needs new shifting fork actuator pistons, but Mitsubishi will not replace those individual parts but rather replace the whole transmission. Been waiting over a month for Mitsubishi to approve it : (
Mitsu Australia have no fkn idea about Evos, about cars I'd say. The other day they adjusted the timing chain of my EvoX and the next day my engine bay was full of oil because The idiots didn't put back the engines top cover properly . fk!
jcmedinaceli they are all idiots bro. These are the boys that were scribbling pictures of dicks when they should have been paying attention to men like the above in class. I took mine in (uk) “it’s a sealed unit need new one six grand” “What about the clutch pack?” “The what?” Jamie walks away shaking head. 6 months later finds a garage that actually has skilled men in it. Replacement parts ordered!! Shout out to Automek in East Kilbride, indigo GT in Wales and of course Brett at MRT. Kinda amazing this is the length you need to for service after buying a 35grand car. Shame on you Mitsibushi. You allow idiots to sell and service your cars
@@jamiewalker8772 Yep, I am yet to meet a more knowledgeable and thorough bunch of guys than Brett and the team at MRT. Already got a stage 1 tune on my Ralliart, gonna take it in to them sometime next year for a stage 2.
