For anyone considering this template or at least looking at it, buy it! I bought this and don't regret it one bit! It made my matetial sound professionally mixed and only had to spend 30 bucks! Thanks again George for your amazing work!
Hey Matt! One year later, I finally brought this template to Reaper as well. 🤘 It is now included here: mix-ready.com/products/ggd-invasion-no-war-kit-stock-plugins-only
Just grabbed this after picking up the OKW Metal preset few months back Making life so much easier dude. So good to just open a project up and BAM, ready to go! Ace work 🤘🏻
Hey! The Mix-Ready templates are basically pre-mixed + mastered projects for audio softwares (DAWs) with a variety of plugins and also drum samples from GetGood Drums, Superior Drummer, Steven Slate drums etc. The projects are organized, balanced, everything is mixed with EQ, compression, limiting, saturation and so on. :) Most of my templates are using stock plugins of the DAW, so you can use the tools that are already included in your recording software. The templates are a great starting point for musicians that want to record their music at home and quickly get great sounding mixes. If you want to learn more about mixing, you can analyze the templates and see how I approached the individual elements (kick, snare, toms, etc). I have drum mixing templates, full songwriting templates and a bunch of other presets available 😊
@@TheKenshinEmo Yes, you will get a folder that contains the project file, the wav file of the demo song, instructions and some tips, and additional files like the custom drum map for Cubase (depends on the DAW)
@@MixReady Thanks a lot ! I may buy this one or the One Kit Wonder Metal. Still questioning (because I don't have Invasion but a friend of mine does). Again thanks for the quick replies !
This template is now available for Cubase, Ableton Live, Reaper, Studio One and Logic Pro X: mix-ready.com/products/ggd-invasion-no-war-kit-stock-plugins-only
Hey man! Yes some plugins will be missing because they are only available in cubase pro or artist. But no worries, about 90% of the sound will be the same because I mainly used the basic plugins!
@@MixReady I bought the kit, you said 90% of the sound. But no, just eq and compressor included, no way my snare sounded like that. Also, all the cymbals have no sound. Help!
Jonathan Alejandro Otero hey dude! I just replied to your mail :) most of the time the issue is the kontakt routing. I have some instructions over here: mix-ready.com/pages/faq
Hi Mix Ready! Just tried this in Studio One 6 with Kontakt Player 7 and it's realllly hard to set up. If you guys are going to update this I hope you can let me know as It's a really great sounding mix.
Hey thank you for buying this Mix-Ready template! Please use it with Kontakt 6 (or free Kontakt 6 Player) so it will load all the settings correctly. Here is a guide for installing Kontakt 6 mix-ready.com/apps/help-center#hc-kontakt-7 You can have both Kontakt 6 and 7 installed on your system with no issues :)
Got it working after some routing and manual kontakt configuration! Sounds amazing. Would love to see what you guys did to achieve the guitar and bass sounds
Hey David! No worries! This template is basically a cubase project file with Kontakt and GGD loaded. The routing, balancing and mixing is already done, so you have that exact drum sound from the demo video :) With „routing“ I mean that every drum microphone (kick drum, snare drum, etc.) has its own channel in cubase. This can be tough and time consuming to set up, so using a template where that work is already done can save you some time and trouble. Also I used the stock cubase plugins and free plugins for that drum mixing, so you only need the free Kontakt Player and GGD Invasion. 👍🏼 Let me know if you have any more questions!
Everytime I search for Cubase Pro 10, it shows Cubase Pro 10.5. Will work for the newer version? Also, do you think Cubase or Studio One is better? I'm looking at both and can't decide on which I want.
Hey there! Yes it will absolutely work with cubase pro 10.5! That is a tough decision... I have been using cubase for years now and am really used to it. But when I started using Studio One for my templates, I immediately fell in love with it. I hate that with cubase you have to pay for every 0.5 update... I hate Steinbergs pricing. I don't know if it's the same with Studio One though... Sorry but I think you'll have to decide for yourself! :)
@@MixReady Thank you! I believe Studio One is a little cheaper but it looks like Cubase comes with more stuff. I could be wrong because I've never used them.
Hey man you can totally get it if you like it! Here is the link to my little store: mix-ready.com/ you can even get a 20% discount when you scroll to the bottom of the page :)
Sweet! I'll definitely do that! I'm gonna be getting a new recording set up with Cubase here soon. I already purchased invasion already. Just haven't got to mess with it really. I'm also curious as to what you're using for your guitar tone?
@@jairocerritos3213 The guitars in this demo song were recorded through my kemper profiler. I dont really know which profile it was actually.. But probably one of the STL Andrew Wade package
Last question bro. What exact version of Cubase are you using? When I get my new computer, that's the one I wanna get so I can get this template with no issues.
@@jairocerritos3213 I am using Cubase 10.5 Pro at the moment. But I also have Mix-Ready templates for Cubase Elements because many people already asked for it
Hi! The GetGood Drums drum sample libraries have a Groove Player - Yes! But in this video I only show you a mixing template that I created :) You need to buy the GGD library first, if you want to use it. I hope that helps!
Hey bro! Is there any chance you could make this one for Logic Pro X? I have a couple songs I'm working on at my friends home studio and he uses Logic Pro X. I'd love to have this drum mix in my songs! I'm also still gonna buy one for Cubase once I get my computer! If you could do that man, I'll definitely buy it! I'll also state in my songs that the drum mix was by you!
Jairo Cerritos hey dude! A friend of mine (Miguel) converts my templates to logic pro x for me. He also uses reaper, that‘s why I send him my reaper templates and he creates logic templates out of them. But since the war kit is for cubase, this would mean converting it to reaper first 🙈 BUT there is a new logic pro x template for invasion available soon! Mayyybe that will be something for you :)
@@MixReady Can't wait to hear it. I thought the "Cold Rain" sounded pretty sweet too! Either of those ones would be sweet for Logic so I can have it in mixes! 🤘🔥
@@MixReady Sounds awesome! Just curious, how do you add cubase plugins to individual drum sounds out of kontakt/GGD? I see you just have the midi drum track and GGD VST open, how are you breaking apart the individual drum sounds to add plugins to them? Or are you just adding global plugins to the entire midi drum mix? Or is everything tweaked within kontakt? Just got GGD recently and still fairly new to cubase. Thanks in advance for your time!
Kevin Cornwell Hey Kevin! You can route individual tracks out of kontakt into separate channels in cubase! I routed every ‚mic‘ of GGD to its own channel (eg. Kick Out, Kick In, Kick Trigger, Snare Top, Snare Bottom etc...). From there, you can apply plugins and processing to your liking :)
