Always fun to see the different gelli prints. It’s county fair week here. First time in 31 years I don’t have a 4-Her exhibiting. Next year another grandchild will be old enough to start 4-H. I’m still involved in 4-H and the county fair. Have a Blessed day!

Gelli plates are made with mineral oil, and it's a normal thing to leech oil over time, some plates rarely seem to do it, but others will do it more. If you get to a point where your papers stick and don't release like they used to, you can give your plate a mineral oil massage and wipe down the excess afterwards. It's also a great way to get stuck on paint that doesn't come off with packing tape.

I love all your Gelli prints and yes, the clean ups are awesome and your tags. I gotta say you make the best out of the paint you put on your plate. Yea, it's a messy, but fun time of play. I bet I have not gotten my Gelli plates out in 3 or 4 yrs, but I should..lol. I love all of your prints as you do a wonderful job.

I would love to be there to help you clean up. I heard it’s best to store gelli plates with nothing touching the top…on a shelf or in a drawer. The plastic protector sheets can cause bubbles to form, which may be the cause of the issue you are having.

Could your brayer be the problem? Maybe it needs cleaning?

The more you roll your brayer over the paint the brayer will start pulling the paint back off. I have never seen that much paint used at one pull before. Sorry if I sound like I'm putting your work down, I don't mean to sound that way. Just watch a lot of RU-vid videos how toos.

I’m no expert. I just play. Sometimes I get too much paint, sometimes not enough. It doesn’t matter to me as I’m just having fun. I’ve said many times that these are not tutorials. 😊❤
