This video details the mixing process, from beginning to end, of a single rock song. The song has many different guitars, as well as bass, drums, and several vocal tracks.
The mixing includes a little bit of editing. Mixing the drums, bass, guitars, and vocals. Apply effects to all of those, including EQ, Compression, Gating, Reverb, Pitch Correction, Delay, and many harmonic effects.
Effects include: Slate Digital, FabFilter, Sound Toys, AutoTune, some Avid stock plugins, and many others.
This recording was taken from a live Twitch stream where I mixed the song live. There have been edits made to the video to eliminate excessive editing, as well as mixing techniques that didn't work out for the song.
Recorded and Mixed by Lorne Bregitzer, theaudioprofessor on Twitch. An Associate Professor for the University of Colorado Denver, and an Ableton Certified Trainer.

I find using the abbey road trick(12db slope, high pass: 600Hz, low pass:10kHz) of eq before reverb produces much more satisfying results.

Nice video, but why mixing in solo?

Well, for one thing, if you're demonstrating a mix to an audience you might use the solo button more than you would otherwise. Demonstrating moves in solo allows people to hear them better. Second, it's not like he was mixing entirely in solo. He was listening and THEN soloing to make the adjustments he'd already decided on. There's nothing wrong with soloing to allow yourself to hear a specific thing you're doing better. I think you're taking this "never solo" thing a bit too literally.

I am sorry m8, I came here to understand how you get to a cohesive mix, but what I saw is my own faulty method as well: getting stuck in the solo button. After applying all the efects that you think each instrument needs, in theory the tracks should sound like a mix, but it doesn't. I heard a final track by track polished but not sounding as a mix mix. It sounds like a bunch of super clean tracks.

I don't get the rationale behind panning drums from the drummer's perspective. Isn't the point to make the listener feel like an audience member watching the band? No one stands behind the drummer to listen to a band. And if you commit to drummer's perspective, shouldn't that dictate the spatial placement of the other band members? And yet it doesn't. So what ends up happening is the listener gets a disorienting mix of audience perspective and drummer perspective.
