Good call, I don’t see Nike reversing their slide into cheap materials and poor QC, any time soon. Personally going to pick up a ZoomX Invincible Run gen 1 or 2, because I see the exact same thing happening with gen 3 there. Cheaper and crappier hoping nobody notices 😅

Actually, the Rebellion Pro outsole design with the deep medial side cutout separation between heel and forefoot looks more like the Adios Pro 3 than the Alphafly.

Doesn't run like the Pro 3, it's closer to the prime x only faster, lighter and more stable. But it runs differently, hard to put my finger on it but you do need to run fast then it comes to life.

Thanks for the very nice review! Can you please compare it to the prime x? Which is more fun to run , which is more stable and which one of the 2 do you believe is more efficient for marathon racing? Thank you.

I can, got two prime x one being the strung and the rebellion pro is lighter, faster more stable and more spring in the toe off. However I had to fit a heel insert, as it was tilting me back making my running feel harder when it shouldn't. Got it's first race outing in a few hours, did a few runs to know if I could trust it.

Hi Doctors of Running I have a rather specific general question about carbon plate shoes. Do you think that the carbon plate loses its stiffness over several, say 300km? Could you possibly test something like this to see if an old carbon shoe still has the same stability in the carbon plate as a new one?

You couldn't separate out loss from the midsole foam degrading versus the carbon plate. Someone had discussed this in a podcast, I think it was an earlier DoR episode but I don't remember which one.

Comparison with alpha 2 is too much for mizuno at this time. Alpha 2 is a proven shoes and Rebel pro is not. Rebel pro’s half marathon finish time is only ~1:05. Mizuno needs to prove if their ssa is a true mechanism for runners.

False, not a fair comparison. Drop 70% of the best Kenyans and Ethiopians in the Rebellion Pros and we would have a fair comparison. Mizuno can’t afford that. I’ve run in both I feel The Mizuno will be better, at least for me. We shall see.

@@davidrosenthal5795 You do not need African elite runners to smash that half marathon time. In Japan scores of elite university students run faster than 1:05 every year. According to Mizuno this shoe is for PB breaker of runners of ~2:25 marathon time provided that they get used to SSA. In this sense it is correct and fair to say if you like SSA it can be your super shoe.
