You're right...the 'zero games missed' in a way really is the most impressive stat. It's definitely part of why Jordan fans love him so much. Plus, when you watched Jordan's games, he played almost the entire game. Whenever you would turn on a Bulls game, Jordan was always on the court. I was very young and mostly saw the 2nd threepeat years, and as I've gotten older now I appreciate Jordan even more because as a kid I took his constant effort and intensity for granted... as a kid I thought 'that's just Mike doing Michael Jordan things!" But as an adult now, I don't know how he did it -- how do you keep up that level of intensity on both ends of the court for almost the entire game (he played such heavy minutes) and never take a day off? And then listening to his teammates talk about how he virtually never slept!?! How can you expend that much energy and effort and barely sleep? And eat McDonald's??? What would he have done with a decent diet and a nap??? 😂

You know why he was always so clutch? His attitude and mentality. Taking big shots wasnt a big deal to him. He treated them like a normal shot in the flow of the game. It didnt matter that little time was left or the circumstances of the shot. He shot 50% in clutch time which is what he averaged his entire career. It was no different for him. How do I know this? There are some factors that need to be reiterated or considered: 1) Way back in the day there were 10 teams, so the odds of winning and repeating were much higher 2) Three point shooting was not very common and certainly not a big part of MJ’s game when he played and prior generations 3) Hand checking and defense were a big part of the game; FAR MORE PHYSICAL 4) As horrible as this is, MJ’s Father was murdered. How many players, let alone Superstars, lost their closest loved one and in such a heinous way. People may be angry with me, but it’s true. 5) Load management did NOT exist. Talk about longevity, add up the average games per season 6) Best of five was only the first round and should’ve stayed that way. Adding a play-in game and expanding to best of seven in the first round is asking for more injuries & fatigue. GREED by the NBA. 7) MJ played in the 1992 Olympics after winning the championship. Think about not just 6 titles but the consecutive championships 3x twice. This isn’t new or unheard of, but so many talk about total rings. The fact that they were so close together is the biggest factor in my view.

Jordan played i believe 3 years in college. If he would of went straight to the nba he would of easily averaged 28 points per game in those 3 seasons. Then he retired in 94 in his prime. Sat out most of the 95 season. Then retired after the 98 season after winning a second 3peat, season mvp, finals mvp. If he doesn't sit out the 99, 00, 01 seasons he would of won at least 1 more ring in those years. If Jordan came straight out of high school, didn't retire after the 92 season. Didn't retire after the 98 season he'd have another 2-3 rings, 2-3 finals MVP's, 2-3 more season mvps, another 15k points, 4-5 more 1st team all defensive selections. He'd be the leader in steals. If you knew MJ's game, that last move he did, the so called push off, he was actually just trying to cross Byron over from right to left, since Russell was already going to his left. In his prime he was putting up 23/4/5, as one of the BEST defenders in the league. A lot of LeBrons longevity comes from a couple different things... One, he rests, which is one of things people hate on. I personally don't like it, but I do understand it, if played every game like Jordan without any rest, it would shorten his career by a couple years... that isn't debatable with that sort of extra wear and tear. The medical field is entirely different today too, LeBron spends I've heard over a million per year on his body... Jordan didn't have stem cell therapy. I used it in my shoulder after 4 reconstructions and needed a 5th after all the AC joint tears, 4 labrum tears, and 2 rotator cuff tears in my right shoulder... AC reconstruction and plated collaebone in my left after abunch of injuries racing pro motocross and arenacross. I also used it in my right knee, the results far surpassed my expectations...and then LeBron uses Cryotherapy, which I love, it's a lot better than ice baths for recovery. Even though I still use ice baths still to cool off and help my body inbetween motos or after practice...but then during the week I go to a cryo chamber usually 3 days per week, more if it's a rare weekend when it's not a race, then right after i use heat, preferably a hot tub over a sauna. As LeBron ages, he can and more than likely has a legal dr written prescription (idk if he needs a TUE or not in the NBA) for TRT, which doesn't put your Testosterone levels way above a normal healthy adult male, so he's not getting an advantage over a male in his prime, it just increases it back to his optimal Testosterone level like when LeBron was a young healthy male... cause at his age, his natural levels are dropping. That helps increase healing from injury and recovery from normal wear and tear/work outs, maintain your energy levels, decreases depression, aswell as preventing brain fog, keeping him mentally sharp as well as physically. He also has the old school stuff available, I don't know if cortisone steroid shots were available in Jordans peak or not, but he would of had similar steroidal injections (im not talking about anabolic steroids or PEDs, its shocking how many people confuse prescribed steroids and then illegal anabolic). Cortisone steroid injections help reduce swelling, decrease fluid build up (knees that need drained for example), increases blood flow (therfore oxygen) to the area which promotes healing for injuries, while also lubricating joints. I used to get them every 3 months in my knee before I had my last surgery, my meniscus was gone so it was bone on bone, aswell as a shot in my right shoulder. They help, it's even better in combination with other stuff i mentioned and will mention... that lubrication isn't as good as the original lube, nor is it permanent relief, but it sure helps get you through. Toridal, a non narcotic pain killer is still used a lot in sport before a race, or before/during a game, I guarantee that was a big one Jordan used back in his day, it's hard to beat when you need relief but still perform. Surgeries are much better these days, less long term negative effects on average, far less invasive thanks to Orthoscopic surgeries, with shorter recovery times...Chiropractors weren't very well known or utilized back in Jordans prime, neither was rehab for injuries or for post surgery, which is massive for a successful recovery as quickly as possible...So LeBron has those advantages. I'm sure he gets a massage and visits a Chiropractor every single day to keep him loose, decreasing the likelihood of a major injury occuring and overall just making you feel amazing. The benefits of those two things on their own is mind blowing... Another thing is food science, they can take tests of your body, figuring out exactly what your body in particular needs to be at your optimal performance level, then build your diet and nutrient intake around that result. Diet wasn't a big thing back then, i mean, you ate as healthy as you could but you didn't have your own trainer and/or dietician like athletes do today...You just did what you thought worked for you and would try different things that you heard worked for others or read about...Which that also includes all these new supplements before, during, and after training/game...Plus stuff before bed to promote sleep as well as recovery, since that's when our bodies recover the most. Jordan didn't have supplements, which are a good benefit providing you already have a good strict diet combined with training...If you eat like shit, and don't workout or anything, supplements won't do much of anything...It's like someone taking steroids, sit on their ass rather than training and expecting to see gains. Jordan did have access to vitamin supplements, and it's always a good idea to supplement for vitamins and minerals that are hard to get through food, but he didn't have the stuff available to us today...However, some of this stuff available these days i feel is overkill, it's expensive, and not worth the results. A lot of stuff people are using and claim to see benfits i feel is more of placebo effect, but, I guess that's still a benefit mentally since it increases your confidence. Anyway, LeBron has all these advantages just due to the era in which he's playing, and who knows what they'll have in another 20-30 Years, it's progression... but anyone would be nuts to think that all that wouldn't increase his longevity over someone who played in the 80s-90s at their peak and pushed through injuries. I've always wondered, how many players are on EPO since it increases red-blood cells, which carry more oxygenated blood to your body/muscles and causing your cardio to go through the roof...it's not a anabolic steroid, but it's a PED for endurance. Very popular in cycling. It's rare these days, expensive, anf dangerous if done wrong, it killed an entire team in their sleep at Tour De France....but NBA players would have the access and funds...I guess the question really should be, how stringent is their drug testing throughout the season, what drugs do they test for, and what levels do they detect? Do they catch micrograms (millionth of a gram) of a metabolite, or as low as picograms per deciliter of blood/ml of urine? EPO can be very difficult to catch for multiple reasons...So if it's kind of easy to pass tests, I would imagine that's at the top of the list if an NBA athlete were wanting an edge, it'd help a lot more than an anabolic steroid...most guys are lean anyway, they don't want to pack on pounds of muscle, they want off the chart endurance. I'm not saying LeBron or anyone is on it by the way, I just know all professional athletes are looking for an edge, and if one takes something, others have to just to keep up. Like i said, that just came to mind about the NBA in general, not any player in particular, along with it's regulations and testing policies. Do they use WADA or their sister company, USADA? I've never heard of NBA athletes being in their testing pool...

As previously mention 3-pt was not a weakness, he was supposed to be average, not the worst in the league or best - stats wise, while LEbron was below average (compared to the era and league he played in)…but that was not my point… now the point: This “average” 3-pt shooter holds the record for the most 3-pts in first have of a finals game. That 6 x 3-pts shot he made also ranked him like top 15 (I forgot the number) in history for playof game or finals game.
