The question: "Who would win a dance-off between "80s Michael or 90s Michael"?" The answer is that 90s Michael will win by default. because Michael's dance become more sharper and more technically sound as he gets older, Michael kept perfecting and polishing his dance moves over the years, especially on the HIStory Tour. He perfected and mastered every dance move on the HIStory Tour. So I'd argue that the 90s Michael will win the battle. 🙌🏽
i found the history tour was abit slow and he didnt sing as much live, he had health problem of course, il havta go look back some history tour stuff later!!
@@BelfastManUtdTherapyWhether people like it or not, the HIStory Tour is unquestionably the best tour in terms of Michael dancing. I'm not talking about energy or singing, but in terms of pure dance, the HIStory Tour is the finest; Michael perfected his dancing skills on this tour.
@@Marshall-d1j Fax! Also he mostly lip synced after he was 35 years old and you already know how dance heavy his concerts were. Folks are ignoring almost 25 years of performances before than where he didnt lip synced. Dangerous World Tour he was at peak in all aspects of his musicianship, but MJ during the HIStory World Tour he 100% mastered his Dancing even tho he was a master before then!👑💯
MJ in any era is supreme! But, you can definitely see how much MJ is such a perfectionist. Always perfected his craft. 90's MJ found a whole new level to conquer! Thank you so much for your comment 😊
80s MJ had more energy, and it was the era he started debuting more of the dance moves we know him for. In the 90s he was more experienced and his dance moves were then perfected to where he no longer needed to exert a lot of energy anymore to perform them. He’d reached the point where he can perform them more smoothly and effortlessly. I'll go with the 90s Michael. But 80s Michael was unmatched 🔥
MJ in every era is just so 🔥 Love seeing people POV to which version of MJ they prefer. It shows how dynamic MJ is! Thank you so much for your comment 😊 ☺️
The beginning jump of this performance by MJ is called a “Toaster Jump” which MJ pioneered! Also if you would want to define the term "Crowd Control" this performance is 100% it, MJ had the entire stadium in the palm of his hands and mind you this is only the first song to start the concert but before MJ even begins to perform the crow is going so ballistic you can cut the air with a knife!🫡👑🐐🌟 (Yesss! Finally it uploaded I was afraid we'd never get to see this performance/reaction and to answer your question, MJ from the 90's is where he completely I'm talking in all aspects of him as an musician. So it will most definitely be MJ from the 90's who would win in an dance battle vs MJ from the 80's. Now singing battle it'll probably be a different story idk. MJ from 80's & 90's will be close but MJ as a vocalist in the 80's was a BEAST!!!! But remember the man's career spanned for 5 decades 60's,70's,80's,90's,00's MJ was built different. Btw just to give you both clarity/information on the MJ & Quincy Jones timeline. You legit can trace the MJ x Quincy Jones sound back to the Jacksons 1978 "Destiny" album. Quincy Jones helped progress and polish that sound MJ was already excelling at. Along with that Quincy Jones (along with Rod Temperton) taught and mentored Michael everything they knew about songwriting, arranging, and producing. As a result MJ carried this knowledge in with him when leading the Jacksons with the 1980 album "Triumph" also known as the true follow up to MJ's 1979 album "Off the Wall". Quincy saw and heard Triumph and even took heavy cues from MJ’s genius genre-bending record "Heartbreak Hotel" with The Dude. MJ and Quincy continued to work close with each other to create the Pop opus MJ's 1982 album "Thriller" which I would argue much of the album’s flaws/imperfections can be traced back to Quincy. Listen to the original "The Girl Is Mine" compared to the final/released version and you’ll see what I’m talking about. But by the time of MJ's 1987 "BAD" album/Era Quincy’s involvement had lessened and most of the songs on the BAD album had been done with Quincy Jones and Bruce Swedien really only plodding. Quincy led no more than 2 out of the 11 songs on BAD. Then after BAD that was it for the dynamic-duo. Quincy was getting older and losing his fire while MJ continued to grow and expand artistically.)
My man! Always dropping the knowledge! The history of Quincy Jones and MJ is something prolific. Something that will forever live on. So, when MJ went out on his own... MJ had a lot to prove. Choosing producers and songwriters to work alongside him truly showed that MJ had other potential talent that he couldn't really dive deep with Quincy. Quincy was definitely a mentor to MJ. But, in order to fully become a legend, you must step away and find yourself in this world on your own potential and talent. And MJ definitely showed the world!
hey honey and brown!! Thanks for the shoutout! Great reaction! Please react to Sum victory tour Michael ! He was young and energetic! But definitely 90’s Mike would out dance 80’s , he was so aggressive and seasoned with his moves crisps as can be!!❤
Awesome reaction you two! I’ve seen MJ live and let me tell ya, the energy is off the charts. Can’t wait to see your reaction to Man in the Mirror from Bucharest.
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm Hey, I strongly recommend you to check out Man In The Mirror live in Copenhagen instead of Bucharest. Man In The Mirror from Bucharest was good, but the one from Copenhagen is the BEST Man In The Mirror performance EVER. Every MJ fan will agree with this statement.
I know I'm late, but unfortunately I wasn't notified about this video. I'm gonna comment anyway. This is my favourite MJ performance of all time. Jam is the perfect song to open a show. 90's Michael is just top tier. It gets me more hyped.❤
😭 the intro to Jam is damn near the best part because it’s the beginning of the whole concert. Great reaction, as always, but I’d love to see y’all react to the first few minutes of this exact show 🥰
great reaction!! surely u guys have to go through the bucherest concert maybe a full reaction or 1 by 1 next song after jam in the concert is wanna be startin something highly recommended watch the WHOLE concert is amazing
Yo, I'm disappointed that you skipped Jam intro where MJ standing still for 2 minutes and people lost it and fainted. I have been waiting for a long time to see Honey's reaction to that insane intro 😢 anyway, great reaction as always.
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm The Jam intro is basically the beginning of the entire concert, so you can watch the Bucharest concert that uploaded on Michael Jackson's official RU-vid channel. It has around 65 million views, or so. You can cut the video at the end of the intro. Hey, I'm sorry for asking too much. 🙏🏼
Trust me, Michael in 1980s was 10 times more energetic, amazing, unique, fresh and sang every song live while performing the dance. Suggestion Idea: Comparison video: for 80s v 90s MJ - Billie Jean @ Wembley 1988 v the song live @ Bucharest 1992 . Theres a massive difference in everything. Love you both from ireland!! His concerts in History Tour of 96/97 were mostly slow but he had health issues. 80s for moi!
First of all, energy doesn't equal a better dancer. Of course, Michael was more energetic in the 1980s than in the 1990s, but as a pure technical dancer, Michael was a better dancer in the 90s. He may not be as energetic on the History Tour as on the Bad Tour, but his dancing became more sharper, more technical, and smoother on the History Tour. His dance moves have been perfected to the point where he no longer needs to expend a lot of energy anymore to perform them. He’d reached the point where he can perform dance moves more smoothly and effortlessly. Finally, what I'm saying is that Michael improvised dancing a lot in the 1980s, but he perfected his dancing skills in the 1990s.
MJ on almost every era shines bright. Personal opinion... I just grew up more with 90's MJ. But that just shows how much talent and care MJ has for his craft. He's always looking for ways to innovate and become a better performer. MJ had a ton more left in the tank after his epic run in the 80's. And we should definitely do side by side comparisons! Thank you for the suggestion ☺️ Thank you so much for your comment!
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm re-visited some history tour mj live performances and they were brilliant too. every era is brilliant. its ok to not love every song an artist releases, theres alot of hate online if you say you dont like a particular mj song. lets remember we are all different and we all have our own favourites, its all part of the fun!
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm ok, but that's the most iconic part .. and I hope you are looking at the official live in Bucharest concert released on his channel. The pose was so iconic which you've probably seen, that it's got a separate slot as an intro I guess. pi should just watch the concert as a whole or in the order it was made.. I know you are very busy. It's a whole experience. Through some interviews of the crew we figured out that mj was very determined to make a super show. He wanted to have a strong beginning and then peaking each time through the concert . And for that he put so much details to make the show interesting through it all. He also had the end with the biggest peak. His idea was for the stage to explode in the beginning. He had all crazy Ideas but they would tell him it's impossible. And then he invested in the toaster thing and pushed really hard to make it reality.. the whole concert is like rooftop tiles that are perfectly intact and cascade the rain away. But you do how you can . Just saying .. Because also the transitions are interesting and the way the audience is surprised anew every time. It's amazing
