The beginning jump of this performance by MJ is called a “Toaster Jump” which MJ pioneered! Also if you would want to define the term "Crowd Control" this performance is 100% it, MJ had the entire stadium in the palm of his hands and mind you this is only the first song to start the concert but before MJ even begins to perform the crow is going so ballistic you can cut the air with a knife!🫡👑🐐🌟 (Yesss! Finally it uploaded I was afraid we'd never get to see this performance/reaction and to answer your question, MJ from the 90's is where he completely I'm talking in all aspects of him as an musician. So it will most definitely be MJ from the 90's who would win in an dance battle vs MJ from the 80's. Now singing battle it'll probably be a different story idk. MJ from 80's & 90's will be close but MJ as a vocalist in the 80's was a BEAST!!!! But remember the man's career spanned for 5 decades 60's,70's,80's,90's,00's MJ was built different. Btw just to give you both clarity/information on the MJ & Quincy Jones timeline. You legit can trace the MJ x Quincy Jones sound back to the Jacksons 1978 "Destiny" album. Quincy Jones helped progress and polish that sound MJ was already excelling at. Along with that Quincy Jones (along with Rod Temperton) taught and mentored Michael everything they knew about songwriting, arranging, and producing. As a result MJ carried this knowledge in with him when leading the Jacksons with the 1980 album "Triumph" also known as the true follow up to MJ's 1979 album "Off the Wall". Quincy saw and heard Triumph and even took heavy cues from MJ’s genius genre-bending record "Heartbreak Hotel" with The Dude. MJ and Quincy continued to work close with each other to create the Pop opus MJ's 1982 album "Thriller" which I would argue much of the album’s flaws/imperfections can be traced back to Quincy. Listen to the original "The Girl Is Mine" compared to the final/released version and you’ll see what I’m talking about. But by the time of MJ's 1987 "BAD" album/Era Quincy’s involvement had lessened and most of the songs on the BAD album had been done with Quincy Jones and Bruce Swedien really only plodding. Quincy led no more than 2 out of the 11 songs on BAD. Then after BAD that was it for the dynamic-duo. Quincy was getting older and losing his fire while MJ continued to grow and expand artistically.)
@honey.brown.nerdrealm
@honey.brown.nerdrealm 10 дней назад
My man! Always dropping the knowledge! The history of Quincy Jones and MJ is something prolific. Something that will forever live on. So, when MJ went out on his own... MJ had a lot to prove. Choosing producers and songwriters to work alongside him truly showed that MJ had other potential talent that he couldn't really dive deep with Quincy. Quincy was definitely a mentor to MJ. But, in order to fully become a legend, you must step away and find yourself in this world on your own potential and talent. And MJ definitely showed the world!

Trust me, Michael in 1980s was 10 times more energetic, amazing, unique, fresh and sang every song live while performing the dance. Suggestion Idea: Comparison video: for 80s v 90s MJ - Billie Jean @ Wembley 1988 v the song live @ Bucharest 1992 . Theres a massive difference in everything. Love you both from ireland!! His concerts in History Tour of 96/97 were mostly slow but he had health issues. 80s for moi!
@PAWANKALYAN_21

First of all, energy doesn't equal a better dancer. Of course, Michael was more energetic in the 1980s than in the 1990s, but as a pure technical dancer, Michael was a better dancer in the 90s. He may not be as energetic on the History Tour as on the Bad Tour, but his dancing became more sharper, more technical, and smoother on the History Tour. His dance moves have been perfected to the point where he no longer needs to expend a lot of energy anymore to perform them. He’d reached the point where he can perform dance moves more smoothly and effortlessly. Finally, what I'm saying is that Michael improvised dancing a lot in the 1980s, but he perfected his dancing skills in the 1990s.
@honey.brown.nerdrealm

MJ on almost every era shines bright. Personal opinion... I just grew up more with 90's MJ. But that just shows how much talent and care MJ has for his craft. He's always looking for ways to innovate and become a better performer. MJ had a ton more left in the tank after his epic run in the 80's. And we should definitely do side by side comparisons! Thank you for the suggestion ☺️ Thank you so much for your comment!

80s MJ had more energy, and it was the era he started debuting more of the dance moves we know him for. In the 90s he was more experienced and his dance moves were then perfected to where he no longer needed to exert a lot of energy anymore to perform them. He’d reached the point where he can perform them more smoothly and effortlessly. I'll go with the 90s Michael. But 80s Michael was unmatched 🔥

The question: "Who would win a dance-off between "80s Michael or 90s Michael"?" The answer is that 90s Michael will win by default. because Michael's dance become more sharper and more technically sound as he gets older, Michael kept perfecting and polishing his dance moves over the years, especially on the HIStory Tour. He perfected and mastered every dance move on the HIStory Tour. So I'd argue that the 90s Michael will win the battle. 🙌🏽

@@Marshall-d1j Fax! Also he mostly lip synced after he was 35 years old and you already know how dance heavy his concerts were. Folks are ignoring almost 25 years of performances before than where he didnt lip synced.
