this was during the launch day stream, if you notice the game at day 1 put the crew in a very downed and quiet mood, it was a rough launch day

Honestly the worst part isn't the challenge. It's the loading screen every time

i gotta say, im loving the constant stream of content being released across both channels

MK11, with it's modifiers, is the most sadistic fighting game EVER!!!

If anyone else is having trouble with this one, I was able to get it earlier today with Cleansing Stone (removing the poison), Magma Fist Gloves, and the Corrupted Amulet (I think that's the name, the shinnok one that makes your punches unblockable). I tried that after many, many failures and it worked instantly

why does it have to load on a REMATCH?

I find it ridiculous that you take damage not only from ducking, but by doing STANDING attacks that just happen to shift your hitbox into the poison. You practically have to memorize your chosen character's ENTIRE moveset to figure out which attacks are safe to use, which is nonsense. BOSS RUSH difficulty 10000000000000000/-5

The first 2 towers give you consumables that you need to beat it, no poison damage. Scorpion and Subzero do no damage they only knock you into the poison.

I'm not even gonna attempt this, I rather just enjoy my life and not earn anything from this

It's like they don't want you to *have fun* playing this game.

NRS just don't understand the charm of the challenge tower from MK9. There were ACTUAL surprises in it. This is just lazy.

It took me like an hour to figure out the rules of this one. You can't jump since you land in a crouch for a few frames and take damage, can't duck because damage, have to execute special with down inputs quickly or you get damaged, you have to kite the missiles, sometime make them hit the other guy, but without jumping. You can disable missiles but, if you disable weather, then nothing can damage you, and you just win. You can only take damage from the poison floor.

Fun disabled

I'm really relieved that they altered this challenge to only need 1 round won flawlessly.

Input reading CPU has to be one of the most annoying things about fighting games

So what I'm getting from these towers and consumables is just an even worse world of light.

Wait til you get to stage 21 with the Raiden and Sub Zero boss fight, it's a surprise that I didn't completely lose my sanity

I beat this with Jacqui , the thing is you can't do any low attacks, or fall. Once the AI falls they take more damage so I did 3,3 with her and they took damage from the gas and the attack.

I beat it with scorpion. Konsumables: Takeda’s Kunai and Mileena’s Sai. His neutral combos worked the best as well as his forward 4,3 combo into spear. Didn’t take that many tries just had to time when to avoid the switch attacks from subzero.

Remember when games took actual skill?

This actually didn't take me too many tries but I used consumables and consulted a guide before I even attempted it

The fact that ais panic spam fatal blows makes fights way less enjoyable, its like "well now i gotta wait 30 or so seconds before I can continue playing"

I apologize for not remembering the names of the consumables I used but I used the one that gives me more fire damage, ethereal armor, and takedas kunai

I forgot how puny the roster looked without dlc characters

I used the kytinn wings from dvorah that negates all poison damage..so even if they hit you it does no damage..and my main is baraka so forward 4,4 was really my friend at his moment..just use that move..activate the kytin modifier and beat them quickly before the modifier stops

It's frustrating just watching this let alone playing it.

Yo Max man I wish I was up to keep watching I could've told you. I used Hydro wave to push then to the korner, Mileena sai and Reiko Shurikens with Kotal chucking discs and got it second try. That kombo of items is nasty and Kotal spaces disc timing perfectly with them lol

There is a modifier that makes poison modifiers immune! I used that and takeda Kunai beat first try ! I think that gauntlet stage is trying to get you to use modifiers smarter

Just use the "you take no damage" thing and whole towers fatal blow active at start and its super easy

thy nerfed this tower to easy and 1 round but even then getting a flawless can STILL be a pain! or even worse.. GLITCHED (u win with 100% health but you dont get the flawless)

As someone who did this with no konsumables let me give those unfortunate enough to be stuck on this some tips: -Play as Skarlet (she is just tall enough where the gas doesn't get her). -Use this kombo (xx = special cancel): 212 212 4xxBF2 ^You can try your luck with doing 44 at the end, but I find it very inconsistent. This Kombo will lead them basically to the corner, where you can do setups like Skarlet's Red Mist (DB3) while they're on the ground, or you can even use it at the end of the 212 212 4xx kombo, but be careful as Red Mist restands the enemy, and both Scorp/Sub have jabs that are faster than yours. -If you lose ANY life, you won't get the flawless victory, *EVEN IF YOU HEAL IT BACK* and that's the reason why you don't want to use the special move Cell Siphon, or waste Konsumable slots with health recovery. If you found this one hard, just wait, it only gets worse.

Some of the fights are literally impossible. Like the ones where you are on fire or poisoned. You die in like 20 seconds without damage from the opponent. Glad they are being tweaked

I like how they give you consumables that counters shit than disable the consumables so you can't use them. Real fun.

You can heal. You cant use and combo string or special move with a down input. I used Baraka and used f4,4 string

This fighting game punishes even attempting combos with big reptile gas

most of these towers just feel like bbullshit, if there werent brutalities in there i wouldnt touch them..

There is a consumable that removes the effects of poison and I used Jax F2,2 (special cancel) DB1 over and over. I literally beat it under a minute. It helps if you have one of those Shinnok amulet consumables too

Distilted magma metorite core and takada's weapon (I forgot what its called)

Use the Broken Kytinn Wing and Shinnok's amulet konsumables, the one that allows your attacks to go through blocks. Choose Baraka and just spam doom kicks.

I beat this using Jax with the broken kytinn wing, jataka's thing and the dragon king one that gives you instant access to your fatal blow from the very beginning of the fight. Got it one my second try.

So glad I attempted gauntlet after the update, did this yesterday and only had to win one round thank god!

The worst tower is the Blood Shower ones, those drain your health so hard that even with blood immunity it didnt work

Did you try the Cleansing Stone, along with the Broken Kytinn Wing & either Ethereal Armor or the Orb of Jataaka’s Soul?... Figure that’s a good combination. I think it’s what I used. I don’t remember. I didn’t have to much trouble with it. For some reason the easier stuff gives me more problems as ass backwards as that sounds. LMAO.

I did it on my 15/20th time. I used Takeda's Shyri things and Reptiles bubble thing and some good luck with Scorpion, using the Hell-Port to avoid the projectiles

Scorpion & Sub-Zero, the tower name, and no blocking. Veeeeeeeery clever there NRS.

I used one of the poison immunity things and a Kung Jin arrow. Pop both immediately, hope Scorpion doesn't teleport and Sub doesn't slide. Took like 15-20 minutes, I thought it was fun honestly, more fun than a million Kanos in a row

The worst part is that it's not the hardest one. The one with scarlet in a blood storm is evil. Btw I beat this tower by spamming hell port and the spiny chain with scorpio

Basically don't duck in the gas, don't get hit with the gas missile (time your jumps to avoid it) use strong kosums and make sure to space when they do a switch out.

This one... actually wasn't the worst. At least, not for me.

For anyone struggling with this, I beat it using Shinnok's amulet, magma fist, and the other tower konsumable that boosts fire damage, with erron black, and just used his 111 string

How I beat this easy: I picked Noob Saibot and spammed the combo square, square, X...... did this over and over again rushing down the enemy and staying close. Do not jump the entire match of use special moves that may take you in the air. Also the missiles dont count as a hit if one hits you. Only if the enemy hits you is when you lose the flawless victory. I hope this helps.

I didn't have this hard a time with this I used the kytinn wings to counter poisen which the earlyer towers gives you and cyrax net did it in like 3 or 4 trys

The Stage 9 set of towers are actual hell!

Beat it on my 5th try but had to use these Konsumables A.M.S ,special forces radio ,Reikos Shuriken, Cyber Snare

I beat it with kotal Kahn's back y or triangle combo over again or forward y the b or triangle and circle

I beat this with Lui Kang. All I did was do the 12 combo and sometimes 2121 string. Hard part is gettin them to the corner tho

The gauntlet stage 14 is a fucking nightmare

I don't know if it was a glitch but i just used the item that prevents poison damage and it made it so scorpion and sub zero couldn't hurt me either. I did it near launch though.

It can be easy, pick someone with fast frame data that has a string that doesnt crouch. For modifiers equip the take no poison damage one even if you get knocked down into poison it does nothing.

Use the cleansing stone! Duh!😂🤣😂🤣

I got this game on my switch a few months after it came out and I’m still on this peace of crap tower

There’s a konsumable that completely negates damage. I had one that disabled all poison effects and it also in turn negated the damage from sub and scorp when I activated it. That konsumable literally made this tower a joke for me. Kinda sucks you need certain konsumables to even attempt some of these towers. gg nrs

yesterday i beat this tower my second try because it glitched, i restarted after i first got hit, and then when then next match started i kept getting hit but wasn't losing any health, so i basically just got really lucky

As I was watching this video today, I chose Raiden with the magma fists and Kung Jin arrows. Complete cheese.

I did it with Orb of Jatakas soul Bloodied Sai Broken Quiver hit Scorpion with all of them at start, the just Forward X until you can hit the again with consumables, repeat for Sub-Zero

It’s hilarious how easily I beat this by just cheesing it with the health modifiers

This was nothing compared to any of the towers where you have to stand in that stupid puddle so you dont die to blood rain while fighting skarlet.

I used liu kang. I had the immune from poison konsumable and takeda explosive shiruken

*This is for anyone who still hasn't done it yet.* TL;DR Kotal Kahn plus Armor consume item more info below. Somehow I cleared this with Kotal Kahn using the Healing 100% over 20 seconds, the Armor consumable and and the skeleton Hand konsumable. For abilities Kotal had Etzli totem(Steal Hp from the enemy, Kahn Cut(Upercut move)an Huehhueyi(Drink Blood Grab move) Start by immediately putting up armor konsumable then going ham on them, use the hand to set up your etzli totem(DB[L2]) to max 3 times and put up the sun(DF3) drink their Blood 3 times with Huehhueyi(DB2) then reapply totems in between combos Kotal Kahn is the God of PVE in this game. Seriously. Even though he sucks at pvp he absolutely can cheese the AI with Health Regen+ plus consumables. Idk how it counted as a flawless for me but I think it had something to do with the armor consumable. The 3 totems did chip damage along with the sun and drinking their blood boosted his damage output I cleared the match and it felt like literal seconds. I was like that was it? As long as you kill them both before the armor runs out you win.

Got through it with Liu Kang. 1,2,3, Bicycle Kick. Just an easy combo to mash through it.

I used Baraka to beat this tower Raiden not a good pick for it becuase a lot of his Kombos leave him open but baraka has huge dmg Potential they died like instantly.

I let A.I. Lui kang do it with the fire fist consumable and the whole tower consumable that amplified fire damage. Took about five tries.

There’s as stone that removes weather affects, such as the poison cloud, and prevents damage from such affects, turns out that their damage is poisoned based too. At least it seemed that way; it was all I used and even though I got hit plenty I received zero damage. Forget what it’s called though l. Something like white lotus god stone or something.

This was before the balance updates. I did this yesterday myself, not so bad anymore.

Did they change this tower? Because I did it yesterday after just a few tries with Takeda's Kunai, and a couple of other fire based modifiers...

I beat it with Liu Kang believe it or not. I dont have the interest to learn another character for now so I told my self to just run it with the kang. Took like 4 tries post patch

This bullshit tower took me half a day to complete, the rewards are not even that good but my fucking pride didnt let me stop until i did it, i feel your pain bro

i beat this on my second try just use lui kang with good augments and as kunsumables use cyrax grd quanchi armour and a another armour konsumables

These towers don't even require skill. They want you to deal with the bullshit modifiers with your own modifiers and its stupid

I tried this like 10 times with no consumables and both of them didnt hit me at all Fuck This Tower

So.... I just got to this tower, and I noticed the difficulty was "easy" despite the fact they added Poisoned Rockets to the modifiers. But I figured I'd let the AI run it first just to see what I was up against and I went in raw without consumables. I was hit twice by Scorpion and once by a rocket, no damage taken, and the enemy Scorpion and Sub took insane DoT damage during the match. So on my first try with the AI and no consumables, I beat Perfection is the Key, all with a chain attack focused Scorpion and handful of augs. I am so sorry for your suffering.

Except the Pain Olympics is just really good SFX. This you actually have to do in real life.
